Unstuffables is a toy that have no stuffing in it. My dog has very very stong teeth and cant break it open. They have squeekers. Great for tug-a-war. My dog loves them. Out of ten i give it a ten. Try them and tell me the resuts.
Charlie made her own "Unstuffed Toy". .... After she tore open the stuffed animal, I took all of the stuffing out and sew it shut.
She still plays, carries, shakes, fetchs it.
That's a great idea Kyoko! Banjo has a favorite stuffed teddy bear (was once my son's!) and it is becoming apparent that he will soon have it opened and I was thinking I'd have to either start sewing it back together or toss it. I will "unstuff" it! He's got 2 of the Unstuffed toys and loves them.
I give them about an 8. Hunter was able to get both of the squeekers out in about a day - which was longer than most. She has managed to chew it up where the squeekers came out. I will say she still loves to play with it and now that there is nothing enticing to get out of it she seems ok with it. I am certain that you can't even tell what it is now - my husband calls it "Hunters road kill".
My two like the "rags" left from their Skineez and similar toys. Maybe I should just give them rags. But they do have fun making the toys into rags : )
Go Dog (Sherpa Group) has a great line of toys with ChewGuard - a material sewn between the layers of fabric to make the plush toy more durable. And they make all kinds of lrg and small flatties - sheep, pigs, cows, bears, zebra, cheetah, dragons, some dinos. They also make little teddy bears in black, brown and white that are flat except for the head. Connor has always done well with his toys, but Simon (just turned 1) is a maniac with his stuff. Sometimes I have to put all the plush toys up and just leave out a few toys like the WestPaw Tux, Tuffies soccer ball, giant plushie ball, etc
I have a new toy that looks like a large cartoonish monkey with long accordion-type legs. Inside the body is an empty water bottle (like Dasani or Aquafina) so it makes a great noise. So far, even tho all 3 dogs play tug with it, it is holding up well. I'll have to get a picture.
