I feel like Gavin and his breeder-mates (?) are the only Goldendoodles that I have heard of that have a Poodle for a mother and a Golden Retreiver for a father.  Why is this?  Is there a difference?  Maybe it is more common than I think. Thoughts?

Duke's Mom

What interesting looking poodles. Didn't Duke's mom say "Are you sure I'm the mother?"
Wow! With poodles like these, we might not need doodles. They are so gorgeous.

Gracie Doodle's mother is a very tall Standard Apricot Poodle and her father was the Golden Retriever. Gracie has her momma's long legs.
