Same Question, Different Day: FROMMS

We currently feed California Natural Lamb and Rice.  We all know what has been going on with this product. 

To be prepared we successfully switched over to Fromm's Salmon formula and Spud tolerated it very well although I stopped purchasing Salmon because Starlit really really really Stinks.  No big deal. she is a dog, but she is a constant kisser and a huger.  

Here is the problem:
 
Spud has a terrible time switching foods, has a sensitive stomach ( throws it back up ) , and
digestion becomes a runny disaster making him miserable.   Starlit stinks ( the least of my worries ).

If I have to I will just tolerate her really bad odor to save Spud weeks of misery, but I would like to try something else without making poor Spud miserable. 

• Any recommendations for those dogs who have successfully switched to Fromm;s, who have a sensitive stomach, but do not use the Salmon formula.
• Another food might be an option but Fromm's is carried in our feed store.

EVO is my poop favorite. We try to switch and then go back. I am watching the P & G take over and hope that I don't need to switch. If Acana were close I would like to try it.

I like Evo but this is another puker for Spud. What's up with Mr. Puker?

At festivals they give away samples of food. I always take what they are giving and use them as training treats. A few a day won't hurt and we only train for minutes at a time.

You can also try feeding them separately and keep your sensitive tummy doodle on the salmon, if it doesn't make him stinky.

I would love to do this but and it could be done but with a lot of effort. :( It works for many households but with mine I would be Feeding Fixated. Starlit is still puppy grazing and Spud eats ............. well he is just plain a weird eater.

The Chicken a la Veg formula is very similar to the Salmon, so I'd try that one first. All the Fromm's formulas are designed to be rotated.
Jackdoodle was eating the Salmon when I fed Fromm, and I didn't notice any more odor on him than with any other food. But i have a very high tolerance for dog smells, lol.

LOL It is just Starlit that smells even though they eat the same food. Maybe it is because she is an in-your-face dog?

We are using the EVO salmon right now and my Springer stinks because of it. The others don't, so it must be a dog specific reaction.

I really do not want to order my dog food for several reasons. So I just have to look at what is close to home.

Californ. Natural Lamb and Rice for puppies. wow what is going on with this food. Please enlighten me. I'm a pet food fanatic. No by products and nothing from China. I'm trying to find a large breed puppy food that does not contain chicken. Riley can't have chicken. it makes her scratch. I've used Fromm, and its an excellent food. If your dog has "yeastie ears" this food is an excellent choice to get rid of that. Once I find out what is going on with Calf. Natural Lamb and Rice.... I think I will be switching to Fromm. I live in a small town, and getting "human grade" dog food is not easy. I have to drive to get the food for my dogs. Just want a good large breed dog food I can find in my area. Love, love to discuss food and treats. It's what I live for. Thanks Tammy
