liver drops and diarrhea??
I just made some liver drops for my four month old goldendoodle yesterday- she LOVED them and had about 4 but then this morning she had diarrhea..is it possible she is having a reaction to the liver drops?

I haven't even heard of liver drops before. However, when I give fish oil to my chihuahua, he gets runny poos and even throws up. I think it is quite possible the liver drops caused the upset tummy.
Has anyone else tried those? -

High fat foods can cause diarrhea, especially if the dog isn't used to them. I'm not familiar with the ingredients in the liver drops either, but liver is pretty high in fat. If she never had liver or some of the other ingredients before, that could definitely cause loose stools.

that's kind of what i was thinking too- i saw the recipe on DK Cookbook group and it sounded delicious! She loved them but i guess they just didnt sit too well with her stomach!

It also might be just because she is still pretty young. I remember giving Peri peanut butter at that age and she got the runs. So maybe give those a rest and try them again when her digestive system is a little more developed? I can guarantee you my chihuahua couldn't handle those!
