Atlanta Area Doodle Meet-up for August!
Hey guys - there is a general "meet-up" at the Canine Ranch sponsored by, um, MeetUp in early August. It sounds FANTASTIC. I'm posting the link below but here are some high points...
"I have arranged to have The Canine Ranch available exclusively to our group for a day of play. It is an 11 acre dog playground with swimming, dock diving, indoor & outdoor agility, lure coursing & sheep herding. They also have plenty of room for frisbee & other fetch games. Please check www.thecanineranch.com for details. They will have staff available for assistance. I have been there 3 times on my own and can't say enough good about the place. Both me and my dog Buster leave happy and tired
There will be a fee of $20.00 payable to the Ranch to cover their cost. The facility is fully fenced and leashes are not required. Most keep dogs leashed in the congested areas though. The facility will be open at 9:00am. We will have access until about 1:00. Demonstrations will begin at 10:00 and will include agility, dock diving, lure coursing and sheep herding. Everything will be available to play with at 9:00. Bring a swimsuit as you are allowed in the pool with your dog. I also recommend bringing a toy to help encourage your dog to swim. They will have someone in the pool to assist. I also recommend bring food, treats & water for the dog as well as lunch & water for the human part. We can stay on the property and picnic. Guests are also welcome. Please feel free to ask any questions. If I think of anything else I will post a note.

Hey Pam - yes, the August 7th is for all dogs, but I thought it would be fun to have a doodle contingent! I will see if I can find out who plans the "real" romps and suggest this to them.

I am going to be there with bells on......omg I live in Augusta GA and we have nothing so Bella and myself will just find us a close motel and make a weekend off it.....Thanks for sharing......
