So this is probaly a very stupid question but here goes......I took Bella to Petsmart and decided to buy her some bully sticks and wow they stink really really bad is that normal.......Pew Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee she does like them but if they do stink like this she will have to do without......My nose is very sensitive......

WOW GUYS YES I GOOGLE IT AND YOU ARE RIGHT THAT IS PROBALY THE LAST ONE I PURCHASE FOR MY BELLA......LMAO...........I WILL TRY DEER ANTLER'S MY DOG I HAD IN HIGHSCHOOL LOVED PIG EARS AND HOOVES NOW I HAVE HEARD THEY ARENT GOOD FOR THEM IS THIS TRUE OR DOES ANYONE KNOW??????

My dogs splintered the hooves and swallowed the pieces, fortunately they vomited them up. End of hooves. I think pigs ears are OK but they give Calla very loose stools, too fatty I think.

Buddy ended up getting soft stools from eating the Bully sticks (low odor ones) and the last one we gave him he ate in no time. Then we got the Anterlz (brand I actually order them from www.bestbullysticks.com) just search on the term Antlerz. No smell and he LOVES it! With his adult teeth he is eating them faster than with the puppy teeth, but he can chew on it for hours but I usually only let him do it for an hour. Good luck!

Just to clarify, even though the Antlerz are sold on that web site they are deer antlers not bully sticks.

How long do the Antlerz seem to last? A bully stick lasts Hunter about 15 minutes - she could chew through a steel rod as my husband says.

We've only had the ones that don't smell and my dog loves them. We have them laying around and he likes to naw on them until I take them away when they get small and soggy. I'm afraid he'll choke on them then. I purchase mine from a chain called PetValu.

We were given a pigs hoof, for passing puppy class, now that was a stinky mess. Baths all round and fresh clean bedding - never again!!

I can't stand them because of the smell - Hunter gets the raw, frozen bison hoofs. I did get one of those cows hoofs at Petsmart once and it smelled like a stable full of horse manur!! LOL
