My Mom's Gallery Opening

I just realized I should have let local doodle owners KNOW so they could visit!  *Doh*  Anyway, my mom showcased her new paintings at a gallery yesterday and here are some photos below.  The majority are her memories of Communist Romania:

The writing displayed next to the paintings are poems she wrote about her memories to help people understand her experience.

My favorite one out of the communist memory themed ones is the one under her sign below...but I don't have a close up of that one (I wasn't physically there and just using what was taken by my mom or step-dad).

Out of everything she's done these trees are my top favorites along with the painting of cows I have in my house.

I believe it's all oil with collage.

A very talented Mom, indeed. As soon as I saw the faucet and brain I thought brain drain, but then I realized this was not the message. It would be great to be able to see the poems as well. Congratulations to Mom.

They will be on display all month long in Los Angeles.

Hours: Monday and Tues. Closed,
Wed-Fri from 12 noon to 6pm
Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 to 7:30pm.
She may not be there at all the times/dates.

Maybe you can post the pamphlet they typically give out on opening night? It would be great to read more about her work and experiences.

Sorry to be dense. Is this gallery your mom's, or does it temporarily have her name? Are all hose categories her work? And I would love to see the poems.
