Update on Brady our Lab.....

I am sorry to have to post this but we decided this morning that it was time to have him put to rest. It was a very hard decision for us and the vet agreed it ws time.   He wouldn't eat anything this morning when I got up and I tried everything he just stuck his nose up as if to say I tried.  He seemed like he was having  a very hard time trying to breath and he would only drink a few licks of water.  The medicine the doctor seemed to make his condition worse for he got alot of the side affects from it.  He was a Great dog and will be very missed he was one of our spoiled fur kids.  He isn't suffering anymore now so that is a good thing.  He hung on as long as he could.  We are hoping now that Molly doesn't get to depressed, she is the only dog we have right now.  Our other choc. lab passed away last Sept.  I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts ,suggestions and prayers in trying to help us get him well.  Thank you...

Oh, Michelle! I am SOOOOO sorry! I truly know how you are feeling.... sometimes we hang on more for ourselves than for our pets! Your situation sounded all too familiar with what happened to our GR (I was just praying your outcome would be different) and he was just about as old... it just hits so fast! I tried to feed him and even tried to give him water with an eyedropper.... that last day he wouldn't even come up from the basement! I think I did that more for me to be sure I did everything I could... And you, have gone way beyond what Brady would expect! I do feel bad for Molly too... my best friend lost one of her 2 dogs this week too, and her other dog mourned as much as the family did, but is better now. Brady seemed like he was a great dog... his job with your family was complete! Sending much hugs and doodle kisses to you and your family!!!!

This is such a hard decision. When our old dog was so feeble, I prayed she would go in her sleep, but she didn't, and we had to make that awful decision. So very sorry for you, Molly, and your family.
