If you even have the slightest doubt, that any one of our newbie's are here for the same reasons that we are..please do not click on their profile picture or any links that they may have on their page.....Computer viruses can cause major damage....JMO
Yes........spotted several last night, and alerted Adina. You are right, but it is hard to spot unless you click on their profile (unless you know of a way???). As much as 100 were invited......beware welcomers!!!
I went back to work (teacher) last week and have been out of the loop. So along comes this discussion and I'm wondering what the heck you all are talking about. Then I see in the chat about "Bill Murray" and doodle means noodle and, well, kisses are kisses.
But now I'm looking at our great site and seeing nuckle heads reading some of our titles and they must be real excited. Until...they look further...
"Men of Doodle Kisses" what do you think the newbies are thinking?
"Doodles from the South, North, East, West" sign up Bill Murray.
Then there's "Looking for a Mate." I wonder if they'll find their dream girl here?
"An indecent Proposal" caught more than a few newbies, I'll bet.
The needed "Doodle Trainer" might be of assistance if they run out of little pills.
I don't even want to think of what a "WUBBA" might be to our newbie friends.
Just having a little fun. Maybe I should quit my job so I can be back on DK full time like I used to.
It is kind of creepy. That someone is crawling through our little world here is real wierd. We put a lot of personal stuff in here and just the thought of ... is, you said it, creepy. What are they thinking? Don't answer that.
This is exactly why I don't plan to post any pictures of my kids with our puppy. I would love to, but there may be some strange folks watching... sad, but possibly true.
I know a lot of you have been concerned about the "questionable newbies" but it will be okay. As I mentioned in chat, Doodle Kisses has had some recent publicity (which was not questionable or bad but publicity can lead to good and bad results) and that is part of the reason for the influx of people who have nothing to do with doodle dogs. Don't worry over it...just ignore anyone that seems "questionable" and most likely they won't ever come back to visit. People who post nothing/very little/ or "dating" messages on their profiles will most likely never return and are just hoping someone will notice their "ad" and contact them or visit their website. I will deal with questionable or UN-family friendly behavior, etc when it occurs -- so please don't bother commenting on their pages (which will either give them a reason to visit again or they'll ignore it because they never intended on returning anyway).
Just IGNORE it and/or if it is interfering with you or others report it to me. As to the "Bill Murray" photo--it is not uncommon for someone to put a celebrity photo in a social profile just for fun. I don't think anyone has tried to pass themselves off as a celebrity at this point.
You are no less "safe" now than you were before or on any other site like Facebook or MySpace. Just always be cautious about where you place personal information--whether on the internet or not.
