Imagine

Imagine you are someone's pet dog. Your family dumps you off at a strange building. Strangers are all around you. They put you in a cage. You are confused and scared. You look around your for the face of a family member. You are fed for a few days in your cage without any exercise then the strangers strap you down to a cold metal table. Your last memories are of playing with he children, of being scatched behing the ears and playing fetch with your master. A terrible lonliness overcomes you and you miss your family. Then the memories fade.

Imagine you are dumped on the side of the road by your master. You are confused but not scared yet because you know your master will come back to get you. You wait by the road for days until hunger overcomes you. You hunt for food but you hunting skills are gone. After all, you are a household pet. Now you are scared! You do not know where you are but you try to find your way home. You walk for miles trying to pick up your master's scent. You are so hungry and lonely. Your hair starts to fall out, you have mange and your skin itches all over because of the parasites. You walk until you are too weak to walk anymore. You have all the memories of your family, the children and the big back yard where you used to play then your search is over.
