Gatsby Holden. (:

I named him after The Great Gatsby, of course.  His middle name is from The Catcher in the Rye. (He's a very literary pup.  I feel like he should have one of those eye pieces like the Monopoly guy.)

Sometimes I'll switch between calling my Gatsby Holden and Gatsby Doodle.  This confuses my four-year-old cousin who has a wicked stutter.  He calls him Gatsby Dooden.

It's a wonder he isn't a confused puppy, lol.

What about your doodles?

High-falutin names are my favorite, lol. And I love how you chose to call him bear eater. I'm afraid that the fact Gatsby likes to eat carpet...wouldn't be a good nickname. OOPS.
Ha! That is a great story! (the bear-eater one!!)
Murphy's middle name is Ale and Guinness's middle name is Stout.
LMAO!
love it!!!
Harlow's is Lauders Jean Harlow, we call Harlow Jean a lot. Lauders is her kennel and Jean Harlow was after the film star.
I love Harlow's name!... But with Lauder being her kennel I can't imagine why you didn't think of calling her Estee...lol....
Callie's unoffical full name is Callie Lou Boo. She frequently gets called BooBoo (which I REALLY need to stop doing in front of cute guys at the dog park). When she's in trouble, she gets called by my middle and last names, just like I always did when I was in trouble growing up.
Peri is Lady Peruna, unofficial name is Peruna de Papas (I have no clue where that is from but it stuck!).

Peruna is the SMU mascot (red pony), mine and DH's alma mater.
Pocket Aces.

He came with the name Pocket - his first owners liked to play Texas Hold'em. We told this to our vet and she said "his middle name should be Aces, pocket aces are the best you can have!" Well, we certainly do think Pocket is the best we could have, and my husbands childhood cat, who lived to be a feisty 19, was named Ace, so it was meant to be.

BTW, I love the image of Gatsby wearing a monocle, like the monopoly guy. I wonder if I could fashion a Mr. Peanut costume for Pocket this Halloween, ha!
Oh, I love this story; what a great name!

That's what it's called: a monocle! (: If I thought he'd wear it, I'd totally dress him up for Halloween. And if you do the Mr. Peanut costume, I demand pictures!
Webster is named after the dictionary so my father-in-law calls him Noah Webster or Webster Dictionary. He doesn't have an official middle name but it would probably be Webster Sasquatch Tramell.
Our 2nd pup is named Charlotte so now my son calls Webster, Charlotte's Webster (which is why we chose the name). Lately, I have some tune stuck in my head and I walk around singing "Charlottey....whoa - whoa.....Charlottey....whoa-o-o-o". Not sure what song that actually is but I think it's "Italian-ish", like something sung by Sinatra or Dean Martin. There is also the country song "Swingin'" which was originally sung by John Conley and there's a line "little Charlotte, she's as pretty as the angels when they sing...." so that song is often stuck in my head, too. I suppose her official name would be Sweet Charlotte Tramell.
