My DH just came in the bedroom while I was playing with Tori. I was down on the ground crawling around like a dog bending my head down and pushing into her. She was pawing at my hair and zooming and hiding back and forth playing chase. DH of course just shook his head, got what he came in for and walked back out. No words were necessary to know what HE was thinking. (There's not many people that I would even admit that to - LOL) So it got me wondering.... what do YOU do with your doodle that 'others' may think... "I would never"..... So finish the sentence...Have you ever__________ with (or for) your doodle?
DH says it's mixed martial arts that he's teaching the doodles, but he used to take Tang Su Do when he was younger. He traveled to Sweden when he was about 12 to study and participate in some world martial arts tournament thing. He quit not long after because the only thing left for him was to get a black belt, which he couldn't do until he was 18 and he didn't want to stay where he was until then. Anyway, he practices on the doodles and they get all riled up and jump around and bark at him. It's actually pretty hilarious.
Hi Shelly...
I'm more of the "loving Mom"...and I cuddle and hug and rub Sasha's belly.
Actually...I was just telling my husband something that I find quite funny...
Sasha is such a 'lover"...and just wants to be by me...or someone...and touch them or lay her head on them...or...Have Them Rub Her!! Lol...
Well...EVERYDAY...she comes to me...and...first she gets hugs and cuddles...and then...Sasha "REWARDS" me...by turning her back to me...so that I can "rub that sweet spot...just above her tail...at the end of her spine!!
It's so hysterical...seeing her just standing there...waiting for me to rub her...and of course I DO!!
Actually...she ALWAYS get a full body massage!!
What Does That Say About Me?? LOL...
I've been doing that since she was a puppy...because I read that it was very important to have that kind of contact with your pup...especially with their feet...mouth...etc...
So...I think I have a Very Spoiled...I mean...LOVED Doodle in my life...and I couldn't be more thrilled!! LOL...
And...
My husband is the "instigator"...and he just loves to get Sasha in the mood to ZOOM!!!! (smile)
Which he does...and...she does...and we are Just One Big Happy Family!!
Oh well...I think we balance one another VERY well...
Awe... Sasha sounds like such a sweetie! funny... we were just watching tv earlier and when tori's ready for sleep, she's ready... that's when she gets cuddly. My son had his head in my lap and I was rubbing his head.. Tori climbed up right next to me and nuzzled her way onto my lap and pushed my son out of the way! She just laid there with her head on my lap as I played with her ears (which really soothes ME!). Guess she has more 'pull' than my son! LOL
Okay, so last night the kids had gone to bed and the dogs take that time for attention. Webster lays his head on my lap and Charlotte sits at my feet waiting to be picked up for a little lap time. After a few minutes, the dogs were back on the floor when my husband laid his head on my lap. I asked what he was doing and he said "getting attention - it works for the dogs". I started "petting" his head but informed him that he isn't as cute as Charlotte :-)
Good to know that I'm not the only doodle masseuse around. Each morning as I sit at the computer, Sedona butts her head against my leg and waits for her massage! I just wish she could reciprocate!
Songs, songs, songs...we are song nuts.
It all started with Taquito's. This was sung at my rehearsal dinner by my bridesmaids (wow, they knew it so well!), who said "Conor, you can never replace Taquito - Ally doesn't write songs for YOU":
Taquito, Burrito
I love you love you love you
The sun and the sky
I love you love you love you
Oh Burrito how I love you (all to a very catchy tune).
Latest is one called "Choodle", which we sing to both. We always wonder if neighbors can hear us since we are in a condo.....loony bin time.
