Looking back at the various discussions for making our Front Pages I have noticed that no one comes back with their final result. I think it would be nice if you make a "header", "side border", "full page background" or "side tile" it would be nice to have you post the size requirements for each. It can be in pixels or inches. I think we all just keep adjusting trial and error until we get it right and then never share the information with the others. I for one am at fault. I can't remember what I did on my page but from now on I am taking notes so I can change my page and know what I am doing and also be able to share with others. Also, any secrets that you learn when making your page would be a big help!!! thanks
OK...Check out my page. This is what I was trying to do so that my picture was repeated and viewable, versus going across the entire screen. I literally had to resize it in word and copy it to Paint to save it as a JPEG. I used the theme "Baby Blue" and modified some blue to pink, of course. After I saved my image to a 2" x 2.39" size, I added that as my side image (tiled). It was just a bit too narrow so it started a second repeat, so I resized to 2" x 2.41" and it worked! YEAH! I had to change the header from transparent (the gray/white checkboards) to pink since I didn't want that border across the top.
I used to save what I had done so I could go back to it. Finally I realized that there are so many fun things to choose from that I just don't go back. I do really love your page, Nancie, and hope you save all of the codes and pictures so when you change for a holiday, you can go back to this one.
Nancy, I really love your page (especially with Evie background). What I would really like to know is how you get your background to stay stationary and the page to scroll.
I finally figured that one out. You have to choose a 'theme' that allows you to make the body transparent - Gossip is the theme I am currently using. I usually make everything that is allowed to be transparent, transparent. I went to glitter graphics for the background. Then I went to the Advanced section and loaded the code from glittergraphics.
I have been trying to add an animated header to my page. I notice that you hover over the header "camera" a message appears that says anything over 955 pixels wide will be cropped. My header is only 900 pixels wide but I can't seem to get to display in the header section. Has anyone tried to add an animated header?
When I add something animated, I go to the Advanced section and put the code there. I put the header and sides on transparent. Does this help. I have no skill with re-sizing.
