I went to a Splash Dogs competition today. Oh, my gosh, those dogs looked like they were having SOOO MUCH FUN! I had never heard of this event until Diane Margetts posted some pix that she had taken of Dakota in a competition in her area. (Toby doesn't like to go anywhere near water - must be more poodle than golden retriever - lol! - so I'm really impressed that Dakota enjoys doing this!) I thought it might be fun to post some pix from this exciting event.

And the atmosphere is GREAT!! Everyone becomes one big Splash Dog family!! We are even allowed to laugh when "mom or dad" follow their doggie into the water!!!! SMILE!! --I've seen it happen at least 3 times which is why I have adeath grip on the side netting!!!!!

You're so sweet, Diane. No, I only did the one (original) painting, so I didn't have a sample to show them. Ah, well. :)

I really want to do this. It was in San Diego last year but I had never heard of it. I go to their website and it gives the schedule for the year but nothing coming this way. I think it looks like the dogs are having a blast!!

These are some really great pics. I too, love the close-up of the border collie.:) I have actually seen one of these cometitions. It was being held here in Corona. We had gone to Corona to go pick something up I think and stumbled upon a Splash Dogs competition. It looked like fun!:) Boy, do I miss my camera!:( Sorry I keep whining about it but a photographer is nothing without her camera.:) I hope we will go try to get it fixed soon.

Hey Taylor...have you asked Santa for a camera for Christmas? If Santa needs suggestions he/she can always come on to DK in the Photography group and ask us all. We would be glad to help! We do miss your photos.

I miss your pics, Taylor! But, don't be in too much of a hurry to get yours fixed. Hopefully, like Nancie said, Santa will see that you need a NEW camera for Xmas. :)
