Genetic Testing?
I am wondering if anyone has had their ALD genetically tested to find out what mix of breeds are present in their dood? I am considering having Tara testing more for the fun of it than anything else :).
Just wondering if anyone else has tried it?

Well, you can see from my experience that there IS a certain amount of risk involved. Now we are worried about being kicked off DK!!! NO Pulidoodles allowed!!! :(
Actually it was educational in a way and we DID have a lot of fun referring to Tara as a Pulidoodle for a while!! I can't even imagine anyone intentionally crossing a Puli and a Poodle!! Holy Doodle!!! Talk about a difficult to manage coat!!!
And you may find you have a very unique breed too!! Maybe a long haired Weinerdoodle or something! LOL!! -

Maybe Joanne's Spud is a Pulidoodle! She complains that his coat is unmanageable, truly unmanageable, so perhaps...... teehee.

Hey, that would be cool! And Tara could have a Pulidoodle cousin. I saw her post the other day about Spud's coat...I think you may be onto something...how about YOU tell her!! hee hee!!

Ohhh, I did! Do Puli's come in Spud's color? I think Ned is a Pulidoodle cousin too. His coat is so thick the groomer thins it!

Yes,they come in several colors incuding white, black, greys and apricot. Here is a Spudpuli or is it Pulispud?

Ok Nancy, before I leave this discussion and go start another--corded coats-- I am on a grooming page now that states, " you are a masochist if you try to groom a puli". Ha ha. It says do not attempt to brush these dogs!

Oh my SpudoolyPulli. I,m typing from my phone as I work a Vet Affair today downtown. All my pictures I never want to post of Spud are at home but look just like this guy. It is him. It is this bad. What a beautiful nightmare. I read once, from a groomer who hated doodles, " who the he'll was stupid enough to mix a golden and all that hair with a poodle and more unmanageable hair together. Are they crazy?" I often look at all your beautiful groomed dogs and envey you. We will Never Get There with my Puli. It is him it is him

I would love to do genetic testing on both my dogs. Starlit has been thought to be an English Sheepdog poodle mix. She looks just like the pictures from a breeder page. She also has some of the Herding and other personality traits of an OES. It would be interesting to know Starlit's but Spud however will still be completly unmanagable. -
