Front Page Photo Questions

I've gotten numerous emails asking about what's going on with front page photos.  When did I announce the theme?  Where do I announce the theme? Etc.
I thought I'd respond here so all can see.  But first I'd like to remind members to ask such questions in the forum.   It is likely someone else has the EXACT same question and it can be answered once for all.  Unless your question is personal or only applies to you, consider asking here :)

Now to the answers:
I email ALL members on SUNDAYS when there is a new theme for the front page show.  This will soon be changed to Thursdays with NO Sunday email except for special events.
ALWAYS check the link above the current slide show for info as that is always current.
IF the info at that link is OLD then that means there has been NO new theme announced and we are recycling an OLD slide show.

For some reason I can not remember names but I can remember dates. I will say that this slide show appeared either the last week of April or the First week of May 2009 :)

Don't know why I threw this in here but I thought others might like to know when this slide show first aired. Yes folks, at times, we get reruns here too. So there you have this little bit of my useless knowledge.

Okay now that is is announced on Thursdays when is the cut off day, I seem to recall when it was announced on Sunday the cut off day was Thursday?
