So my doodle ruby is 18 months and within the last few weeks has been chewing up whatever she's can get get her paws on! Favoritves are brand new toys and shredding paper products. ... It's driving me nuts! There are messes left and right and I'm just threw away two brand new toys since yesterday! Timeouts and scolding are not working! I give her plenty of chew toys and bones and she did know the difference because she was doing so good for awhile. Then we brought daisy the puppy into mix. Now they r terrorizing seek and destroy!  Doesn't help that sldaisy is going into her first heat so she is pmsing, I'm pmsing hormonnes are flying, kennel cough and fleas are rampant at the dog park so were kinda stuck at home.. :( plus I can't take daisy anywhere public til I get her fixed and she's not in heat. So teenaged disobedient doodle. Pmsing cavachon. Pmsing me = not such a good mix.....'ok thanks vent ok just please tell me this gets easier! Oh yeah the little one peed on my foot yesterday while I was stAnding in the kitchen!!!

We humans get stir crazy in a house all day sitting on a couch. You dog does too. Exercise sounds like what she needs to me.

Give her some one on one time--or just plain take a walk. A mile should do. That takes maybe 15mins. She needs some exercise. She is still young herself! Just chewing can not replace exercise. It is hard, I know, but try just one mile. Enjoy each other and the time away from the puppy.
Take the walk Joanne suggested straight to the ice cream store and have a double something with lots of chocolate. That should help you!
Hey, great idea BruceGirl--make that walk fun. Of course, You get all the chocolate since your dog may not consume chocolate but get a baby cone of vanilla for her and enjoy.
