We live in the mountains and just had our first significant snow since we got Stella. She gets covered with snow clumps! (AKA snow dingleberries) How do you doodle owners in snow country deal with this winter "phenomenom"
We live in CT and have the same issue. My Doodle is pretty good about coming in and lying on the towels we keep by the door and we just de-dingle him. Other than putting booties on them, I don't have any other ideas.
hmmm well that is not good. Plus Bandy really has toothpick legs so I would have to get Barbie socks... I will keep thinkin. Gosh I wish I could sew sometimes, shoulda listened to my mother:)
I thought about this, too. I though I would get a piece of strap and connect the socks to go over the back. Sort of like shrug. I got to find some way to keep her from matting because of the snow play!!
I am going to Salvation Army or Goodwill and getting a child snow suit. Cut it down and throw it away. Donna and Quincy --You are genius.
It is not like it is a fashion show in the backyard but I do need to keep his coat dryer this winter. Soooo
Last year, Spud, at 14 months, entered the MAT from HELL stage in February. There was no saving his coat. I bought kid pajamas from the thrift store and it got him through the next 6 weeks.
Wow!!
So many ideas...that I hardly know what to do...or think!!?? Lol...
Very creative ideas ladies...and...I must say...that I'm impressed!
I'm still wondering what to do??
Should I get Sasha something to wear outside when it's cold ...or not??
The Mom in me...says Yes...my girl needs a coat and boots...but...there is a part of me that says...she has a Very Nice Natural Coat...and that should keep her warm enough.
I'm still tossing it back and forth...
Up until now...Sasha is still in the "Naked Doodle Club"...and...she seems Totally Happy and Content...(smile)
Color me...Pondering...
Sunny has a sweater that she wears when it's cold, but luckily for her we live in NC so it's not usually cold enough for that!
I'm going to look into booties if it snows this winter... I really did not enjoy pulling the snow clumps off her feet and she didn't like having them there! She walked all funny like she had pebbles in her paw pads.
Quincy's new rainsuit arrived to day, it seems that it will serve our purpose quite well. The only thing is I should have ordered the xxl instead of the xl. We're ready for the snow, bring it on.
