How Can I Get The Bird!

We have a big ole "Fat Albert Blue Spruce" Tree in the back yard and it is currently home to some little finches.  Well, Sophie as many of you know is fascinated by birds, so she will not leave this tree alone.  She keeps wanting to jump up into the tree to see the birds, so we have been working on "leave it" to keep her from getting up on the branches and destroying the tree!  She isn't happy about this and doesn't understand "How Am I supposed to find the birds if I can't touch the tree".

How adorable!!! Sunny does the same "standing" thing when she is trying to look at what's on top of the table because she's not allowed to counter surf.

Sunny is also bird obsessed! And any other small animal, which is horrible since I have 3 bearded dragons and can't have Sunny around them because she will kill them.

Thanks everyone..... I really do wish these birds would move on South! She goes out the door, chases Lucy around the yard until Lucy won't run any longer and then heads straight for this tree! Is impossible to get her to come inside! I'm not sure she would hurt a bird if she caught it. My mother has one and she runs straight to the birds cage when we go there and just sits and stares at the bird, nose to beak the entire time we are there! As for the yard, we picked this house before we even knew we were going to have dogs (then we had to pay to fence it, OUCH). But after 10 years in FL with 10 feet on each side between us and the house next door, we just needed a little more space around us!

Our place in FL was like that. We had a pool, and by the time we landscaped around the pool and the fence, we had one little patch of grass left. But then we only had a Toy Poodle at the time .
