I would love to know what you think about your Doodle's temperament? Is it what you expected?... good or bad!! Would like to share the differences, or same qualities, in our related Doodles.

Marley is a very sweet girl. She loves to sit on laps and is very patient with my children. There are only two habits of hers that we are working hard to change, she jumps on everyone and she digs in the yard. She has been extremely easy to train otherwise and we are confident she will grow out of this phase soon.
My Cooper was also a a really big jumper whenever anyone new came by, or when we would come home, or let him out of his crate. We started beginning obedience class and he was practically cured within 2 weeks. I was surprised how easy it was for him to over come. All I would do is when he would jump up on me I would grab his two front paws, and pull them up to the sky. Eventually it gets uncomfortable for him, and then he is fighting to get down. So when he jumps up, I pull up on his paws, and in a stern voice say "DOWN, Cooper!" At first I was really skeptical because it didn't seem like he minded me holding his paws up. I just had to get them as high up as I could. Now he never jumps on a soul, and is really good at keeping all 4 feet on the ground to greet people.
Hi....Well, we have had our trials and tribulations with Kodie's temperment...she is the sweetest, most loving puppy....BUT, she has a "nipping" problem....she loves to bite, nip, chew on us....it's not out of aggression I don't think, but really rough puppy playing....she especially loves to chew on my 7 year old son. I think she looks at him as a litter mate.......with her puppy "needle" teeth coming out it doesn'y hurt as much...thank goodness! Otherwise, she is wonderful and smart and we love her to death......Kodie also welcomes anybody with a big leap...! We are working on that also....she was digging until we gave her a big sandbox to play in....and she absolutely loves it!
We had a little of Giada jumping and nipping at my son too. They do view them as a "litter mate" and not a dominate master. What we did was teach my son to be firm with her--and it has gone away completely! Also, get him to teach her tricks, I think this also teches them the child has control. Giada loves to do trick training sessions with my son:) I have a video on my page with the two of them. He is also going to do the obedience classes with her after she recovers from her surgery.

Hope this helps!
She is WONDERFUL! Very easy going and SOooo easy to train. We expected her to be more roudy, and are pleasantly surprised that she can be if we are, but if we are not she just lays at our feet. And, as soon as night time comes she is sound asleep. As I expected she is a Mommy's girl a bit just like our other dog, but enjoys being with everyone in the family too. I can not think of one thing I'd change (Well she is a picky eater and sometimes has stomach issues)! She is PERFECT to us and we LOVE her SOooo much!!!
Ginger is a very sweet girl. She allows the kids to hug her, lay on her (she's like a pillow) and never complains. She loves other dogs and can't wait to meet every person she sees. She hardly ever barks. Very quiet. On the other hand......She chews on just about anything. Sticks in the yard especially. She is learning not to chew on the house. She still has a tendency to gather shoes and socks whenever possible. All in all an excellent dog.
Mocha is unlike any other dog I have ever had. She does LOVE to jump as others have stated, but we are working on that. Before she reached a year she was fully potty trained and is out of her crate. She LOVES other dogs and children. She cries at the window when she sees them outside. She also stays in the yard for the most part. She even loves the vet and the groomer!! Mocha LOVES her toys and bones and is good about only playing or chewing her OWN things.

The reason I call her "different" is because she doesn't show affection as most dogs do, at least in my eyes. She does NOT lick faces - at all. She will lick your hand, but that is about it. You can call her on the bed (and what dog doesn't like that??) and she'll look at you like - yeah - whatever!! I'll come when I want. She likes to always be NEAR us, but not ON us. Which I think most would say is GREAT.

Recently I left for vacation with the kids, but left her home with my husband. After I returned I had our bags still on the floor and never thought Mocha would touch anything. She chewed off the handles of my daughter's duffel bag the first day we were back and chewed ONE of her shoes the 2nd day. After that she was done. I'm not sure if she was punishing us?? The third day she was very loving - more than usual and seems to be done with her punishments - haha.

Overall - love her to death of course!!
