I adopted Jack from a shelter. His original owners bought him from a pet store. I know that he is an F1 labradoodle, so he had one Lab parent and one standard poodle parent; it's usually the mom who is the Lab.
I'm sure Jack's Lab parent was a yellow lab. He has a friend who is a yellow lab, and she has the same coloring...very light face, and very light hair on the back of her upper thighs...you know the part that looks like little girl's ruffled panties on our doodles, lol? She has darker apricot coloring like a saddle across her back.
But I have no idea what color Jack's poodle parent was.
What color were your blonde doodle's parents? And were they labs, poodles, goldens, or doodles?

My four-month old puppy Knox is an English Goldendoodle (F1). His father is a beautiful, nearly white English Golden Retriever and his mom is an apricot standard poodle. The breeder also has two white standard poodles and he uses them to get "angel" white goldendoodle puppies that are absolutely gorgeous. Knox is almost a light "khaki" colored as he matches my husband's GAP khaki pants perfectly! ha!

Jewel's color is somewhat of a mystery.  She is the lightest of her siblings - 10 of them. (I have kept in touch with the breeder and some of the other siblings parents via Facebook).  Her mom was a lighter color Golden Retriever and her Dad was a Dark Red Standard Poodle.  She seems to get lighter and lighter.
