Has any one ever gotten one? I have to go to court on Januray 3rd to fight it. I have 3 doodles ages 4, 2 and 6 month. Yes they bark at the mail man and when they play ball. It's only one neighbor that is complaining about them. OC Animal care has been at my house 5 times in the last 6 months. I am feeling like a bad pet perent. The oldest one is even  going to training.

Yaaayyy, you'll have to give us the details Danyell. Jacque, thanks for the great info too. You never know when something like this could come up. :)
Congrats on your win!  I'd also love to know how you beat the citation (and the judge's thoughts on on the matter) since anyone with a dog is at risk for getting one some day.

My case was the last to be heard. Everyone elses case was against other people that owned there houses. The people next door rent I am going to use that term loosely. The house they live in is being short saled which means no one is paying the note on the house. I came in with 4 letters from other neighbors saying my dogs dont bark and if they do its no more than the rest of the dogs on the block. We have 15 or so dogs in this nighborhood. I guess in the report they told animal control I own 5 dogs. Trust me I would be going insane with that many dogs. I told them I have 3 and my friends bring theres over to play. The overseer laughed and said that doesn't count.  Then she told him my dogs are untrained, vicious and charge the gate when they see her dog walking on the sidewalk (peeing on my parkway). I then showed them that the ring leader of my 3 just finished Home Manors Class and graduated with perfect attendance and that the baby barker is starting next week in his round of training. She told them the last time she turned me in was because I was smoking and playing ball while making the other dog next door bark too at 4:30 in the afternoon. While everyone elses case took 30 to 45 minutes long mine was maybe 15 minutes if that.

All I can say is I hope the house next door sells sometime soon and they can find a house to move in with out dogs and kids on the block because they complain about them too.

Congratulations Danyell! Good for you.

It's good to know that if we stand up for ourselves we usually win. We have a barking lab across the road, he starts at 7am, while mine are still sleeping. I'm always afraid people will think it is Willy and LiLi, but so far, no one has complained. While they bark at people at the door, I'm glad, as it shows they are protective and let me know someone is there. I have been working with a trainer to stop them from 'pushy greetings' of people who come to the house, and so far its all been  good.

Danyell, I just saw that you posted the results of your case!  Yea! Good for you and good that the 'system' listened.
That's great that all your good neighbors came to the rescue! It sounds like you unfortunately just have one of those neighbors that complains about everyone and everything. Good that they are moving, but those short sales can really take a long time. Maybe having lost in court with make them hesitate to complain about your dogs again. Glad the court was reasonable and listened. Good luck with the dog training!

Oh I have those kind of neighbors too.  They actually left a threatening note on my car.  Can you imagine?

I just have to let her out to pee and make sure she's not out there too long otherwise she'll bark at the neighbors dogs down below.
