How's that for a title, lol?

My problem is our doodle's annoying pooping habit. Please bear with me... She'll squat, do her "main" work and then walk around dropping little tiny pieces of more "work" left and right. She's 4 months old. She has always pooped like this but lately, it's getting out of hand and super annoying as clean up is literally a pain in the rear end.

Any ideas? Do other dogs do this? Any way to stop it?

I tried standing in front of her so she can't go forward but, she'll just stop and then sniffs out a new spot to drop her teeny tiny morsels. If I keep her on a super shot leash she drops them all around me like a mine field.

Thank you,

Ha, ha. I thought my pup was the only one that did that. I keep him on a short leash, when I take him out. He is now going in one spot. Now he picks one spot a week. This week it is the flower bed. I did not do any thing different, he just quit on his own.
Yes! That's exactly what she does! Crazy pups!
I think it is a puppy thing or have to do with what you are feeding her.  Bandit still does this from time to time but only a couple of extra "morsels"  What are you feeding her?  Does it seem like too much poop?  What is the texture.. runny or hard?  Bandit also used to just go where ever he pleased, on the sidewalk, on the street, talk about hard to clean up!!  hang in there!!  Oh one more thought, search the Poop Group!

Poop group??? LOL! That's funny! I'll search :-)

She gets kibble with bits of human food mixed in. She gets eggs, teeny tiny bit of shredded cheese or a few drops of chicken broth mixed in. It starts out as nice and solid and then once the tiny morsels start coming out it's softer and runnier. TMI. Sorry.

Yep here you go  http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thepoopgroup

It may have something to do with diet, eggs give my pups horrible gas.  Puppies can't always tolerate the additional foods until they are older they have sensitive tummies and be careful with broth, it has a lot of sodium.. Maybe a visit to the food group would help too!!

Oh, that you for that info. We do the low sodium but maybe I'll just do kibble only diet and see if that helps. Thanks Suzann!
Haha...Izzy does the same thing but not all the time. I am hoping she grows out of it. Lucca NEVER did this!!!! I don't know if there is any way to change the habit 9if that's what it is). It seems to me that she thinks she's done and walla!!! there's more!!!
Oh yes, both of our guys can "walk and poop at the same time"....and they often do.  Guinness did it this morning...I think there were four separate poop spots to pick up.  I think they're just trying to annoy us.

Rua doesn't walk and poo at the same time, but she'll do her main job (nice, firm [5 on a scale of 1 to 5], long, thicker - sorry for the description) then she will walk 3 feet or so away and does her secondary job (about 1/4 of the thickness and a 3+ [on the poo scale], then she'll walk 3 more or more feet and does her third job (usually just drops or little loose poos).  I can't wait until this is over.  She has been doing the multiples since we brought her home!  So, I am no help, but I feel your pain in the rear...literally!  LOL

This is funny. My bischon used to do this, I thought she just was making sure she didn't get anything on herself.
Wow, I thought only my dogs did this.  My 11 year old Shepherd has always done this and I think he may have taught my 15 month old doodle when she was a puppy.  It's not too fun at the dog park because I usually have to take several poop bags to clean up after my travelers.  Wish I knew a way to stop this also.  One pile is so much easier to pick up than 3 or 4 piles per dog.
Travelers....lol. I like that!!!
