Well, I guess doodles only live in OC. Sam's Green Paw in Studio is where I take Archie, now two and weighing in at 54 lbs. He goes for daycare on Wednesdays when our gardner is here, as I don't trust him to keep the gates closed, and it allows Archie socialization time. He gets brushed weekly and groomed and bathed monthly. I think they do a great job. They have large screen TVs so you can watch your dog if you on the premises. They are working on making the TVs web based so you can see your dog from your computer or phone. PS, a tip from the vet on allergies. One Benedry in the am and one in the PM in Archie's food has totally cleared up excessive scratching and red bite like things he seemed to get from daycare. Audrey

So... I'm going to try " Chateau le Pooch" in Brea.  They have pretty good reviews from all over OC.  If anyone has any info on them, please let me know.

:)

I take mine now to Dowgs house of grooming in yorba linda

Do they take several hours? and can you see the grooming room?  I have heard of groomers sedating dogs, hence the long wait for pick up. I'm so paranoid now...lol.  Have you been to or hear of Chateau le Pooch on Imperial and Arovista? I haven't taken my girls anywhere and they need it BADLY...I need to find a good, sage groomer.

I have taken Ginger and all my foster dogs to DIANE at Taj Mapaw Spaw in Anaheim Hills.

Diane works from her home and the dogs have a gated-off area in her backyard to play in... no crates!  You have an appointment time and that is when she begins working on your dog.  You can leave your dog for up to 2 hours after she is done without additional charge.  She is really nice and grooms several doodles in our area.  I frequently find my dogs laying on the couch in the salon waiting for me to pick them up.  The dogs are always happy to go and are so proud of how they look afterward!  Prices are very reasonable and Diane offers many different options for grooming.  She has a web site www.tajmapawspaw.com

WOW, their website and priced are GREAT! Maybe we will take the girls there Friday if we can get in.

Thanks

Hahahahahaha...That's awesome!

"The Spaw" in Tustin on Franklin - I took my puppy for her first grooming at 6 months. - to be honest I'm not sure if they do a great "doodle" cut as I'm still trying to figure out what MacKenzie's look is supposed to be...though she looked cute to me!  But most important to me is that my puppy had a great "first grooming" experience.  They are a "cage-free" groomer service - so they have a small daycare setting for the dogs to play before and after their grooming.  MacKenzie had a fantastic time playing and when I picked her up, besides being adorable and clean, she seemed to be really happy.  Now that first time I took her they did have to shave her down because she had a lot of matts - but they told me ahead of time that they wouldn't put her through the pain of matt removal if she had a lot of them so that she wouldn't be traumatized (they did work on the ones on the top of her head and under her chin - so she was still adorably puppyish).  When I took her a second time right before Christmas, Kenzie walked right in happy as can be and came out clean and happy (and not shaved!).

My sister takes her maltese here and we love the owner and the experience.  It's too far for me =(

Taj Mapaw Spaw in Anaheim Hills is wonderful.  Cage fee, beautiful play area for the dogs.  Top quality.  Diane is a true dog person.
Well we own a pet grooming shop http://www.bowwowbathhouse.ca/ Huff is always there and I am there sometimes too. We have good prices for self service $12-$18 and for full service where everything is included its about $35 for small dogs (e.g. yorkie, mini poodle)- $50 for large dogs (e.g. standard poodles, doodles). We are open 7 days a week and there is always a groomer here.
