Our First Official "Yappy Hour" - What Should We Talk About?

Okay everyone, we need to decide when we want to have our first "official" Yappy Hour"....what's the best day and time?  Also we need ideas for a really fun first discussion topic....thoughts?

See where it says how many people are online at the bottom of DK?

To the right of that there are three icons ending in one that looks like a bowling pin with a green or red dot next to it.

Click on the first icon to make the chat section take over a part of the DK page.  Click on the 2nd icon to make it a pop out window.  Click on the bowling pin (which is actually a person) to make yourself appear on or off line. Green for online, red for offline.

I read every word of every one of those announcements! I just don't retain info (well, tech-y type info) very well, probably because it bores and baffles me.

I did know that was a person, though, not a bowling pin. You must watch how you respond to people, if I didn't know you better, I might find that comment very condescending.

We wanted there to be lots of humor in our live chats.  Perhaps the humor will come from all of us trying to figure out how to use this "feature".

I had no idea it was a person, didn't think of it as a bowling pin either,  but I did know the function. I think I'm bad at symbols.

Think what way? I do think tech-y stuff is boring. If it were up to me, we'd all be talking on the telephone (one connected to the wall) and writing letters with pens.

Just like the good old days. When people knew how to read and possibly even understood what they were reading.

Oh Gosh, I am really sorry for any condescending tone...it was not intended.  I just wanted my description to be easy to understand and obvious.

 

As to remembering from way back then...I actually don't expect anyone to remember the directions, I was just surprised so few people tried it (since usually trying something is more memorable than reading instructions about trying it).

We could start with types of wines, I could have a discussion on recomendations that I could respond to. My husband has a great gift of finding really reasonable wines that taste expensive.
