Our First Official "Yappy Hour" - What Should We Talk About?

Okay everyone, we need to decide when we want to have our first "official" Yappy Hour"....what's the best day and time?  Also we need ideas for a really fun first discussion topic....thoughts?

Where did sign out come from? Sometimes I miss the transitions. Anyway I never sign out either but I think when my computer hibernates or I shut my browser down I must appear as gone.

No, this is not about signing out of DK but merely appearing 'offline' when people look at the chat feature.

I am a person who signs out.   Not at home but I have access to hundreds of computers at work.  If I do not sign out another person can come along and look at my history and sign into DK.  It was done at least twice that I know of. .....  Not a good thing.  It is done on Face Book Constantly.  It is a game with college kids.  Go to someones page and type some horrible things.

So, if you are using a strange computer, sign OUT of DK

Okay, about our first Yappy Hour topic...I propose that it should be something totally silly, non-controversial, and all-inclusive. Something harmless but that drives you crazy, maybe. A good opportunity for some all-in-good-fun blowing-off-steam while enjoying a glass of your favorite beverage. For example:

What's the deal with toilet paper? I mean, all of a sudden, there are all these commercials that seem to imply that a lot of people are having problems with their toilet paper. (The ones about "pieces' are particularly nauseating.)

And they're so serious...."It's time we were honest about what happens in the bathroom". Ugh. This is one reason I don't watch TV while I'm eating.

I don't know about you, but I myself do not rely upon toilet paper to "get me clean and keep me clean". That's why soap and water were invented, not to mention showers. Are all of these people living in tents at sleep-away camp?

See, don't you wish it was Yappy Hour right now, lol?

LOL!!! Hilarious Karen! I am so with you on this one... I have small kids and THEY don`t have this problem with toilet paper!! This will be hilarious, hope I can make it.

OMD, I was really hoping that we could not talk about anything to do with our rear ends!! Medical procedures, personal hygiene and the like... ewwww I am very squeemish and only more so with wine!!  Surely there is something a little better!!

It's just an example. Toilet paper commercials are my harmless gripe. (Well, one of many) Yours can be something else.

I would have bitched about the characters on Private Practice, which also drives me crazy, but I don't know how many people watch that. We need to include everyone. Everyone uses T.P....I hope.

(For those who do watch Private Practice, what is going on with those dresses they wear to work????? I mean, they're supposed to be doctors treating patients. Hasn't the person in charge of wardrobe ever been to a doctor's office? i mean, i know it's Beverly Hills, but a hostess in a private men's club dresses less revealingly than Naomi. I keep thinking she's going to put a patient's eye out when she bends over to examine them.)

I think the Charmin bears are at least kinda cute...maybe TP does stick to a bears butt!! 

Here is my grip... SPAM, not the meat but the mail... especially when for no apparent reason half my DK notifications go to SPAM and the other half go to my inbox.. and I gotta look both places to make sure I don't miss anything!!

 

No Private Practice here, but i can totally think of some similar shows that do the same thing...I will have a list ready for Yappy Hour!!

I frequently watch Private Practice, and I just don't get it either.  I can never figure out who's with who (it probably should be whom, but there's no spell check here) on that show either.  Miss a few weeks and they've switched "partners".  Maybe that's what happens when you dress like that for work.  I know one thing for sure...if I need a Doctor I'm going to Gray's Anatomy....those guys are way better looking.
