I'll post new pieces here as I paint them. I hope others will do the same and start their own threads in the Art Cafe! :)

I finally got around to revisiting this painting today. I felt like I needed to bring out the brown color of his iris a wee bit more - especially (his) left eye. I also wanted to deepen the colors of the background. Think I'm satisfied with it now. :)

You are a perfectionist but it pays!

Sometimes I don't "see" things right away. And then it drives me nuts until I fix it! haha!

Amazing!
Just Amazing what you do Linda!  Are you framing this one??
Thank you, Gina. :) I printed the first one on canvas and hand embellished it with acrylic. It's a 12x16 in a beautiful frame. I might print this new one as a 16x20 gallery wrap, and keep it on hand as a sample.

Here's my reference photo, btw...

Linda your portrait of Toby is beautiful... I know you will probably never get tired of hearing that. I was so inspired I ordered my tablet the other night. Gina's artwork got to me. With some help and practice I hope to get some great shots of my girls. I can't wait. Thanks for all of your inspiration, Eva
Aw, thank you, Eva! You and Gina and I should get together some time!
I'll join in "in spirit"!!!! The Toby portrait was great inspiration for me too . . . along with Dakota's Splash Dog and the little bird!
I'm so happy!!!! It gives me such joy to know I've inspired others to be creative!!!! It's such a great feeling to share, learn and grow. :)

Hi Linda,

I just showed my sister all of your artwork and we were again admiring it. I just got my bamboo tablet today and can't wait to dive it. It will have to wait until the weekend when I'm off, but am super excited. Hope all is well with you, eva
