NAME: Bella                  BREED: Labradoodle                    SEX: Female - SPAYED

AGE: 3 Years                COLOR: Grey/Lavender                WEIGHT: 38 Lbs.

LAST SEEN: This morning 10:00 AM near 35 Riverdale Road in Port Chester, NY.  Bella was adopted last year from Doodle Rescue Collective Inc. She is a medium sized Labradoodle...She looks more liek a purebred poodle with a full tail. She is a unique grey/lavender color.

She bolted through an open door at the home of her Pet-sitter last evening. Her owner is FRANTIC...

Bella is very shy and fearful of new people and situations and will run from strangers.

She is wearing a collar and tags. She is micro-chipped.

Greenwich Animal Control has been notified and are on the scene but no one has seen Bella since this morning.

"Bella and I were visiting a friend in Port Chester (we live in Valley Cottage) and when my friend went to take her own dog out for a walk, Bella bolted past her and ran out the front door.  She was spotted on Feb. 9, 2011 around 9:30a in the morning near my friend’s house.  Bella is especially skittish around strangers and may be difficult to catch – DO NOT CHASE – just call if you see her.  Bella is not aggressive toward people or other animals.  Bella was rescued by me in April, 2010 and has come a long way but she’s still scared by new situations.  PLEASE call if you see her or are able to capture her.  I miss her and am desperately worried about her!"

If you live in the area and should happen to see this girl please contact her owner.

Megan Cummings at 609-706-2508.

Megan is at the scene and still searching for Bella.

You can also contact  DRC at 917-439-6403 and

We are thinking positive thoughts and hoping she is with someone who is taking good care of her until they bring her back home.

I am so sorry to read about Bella. I hope she finds her way home soon. Please keep us updated.
Bella please go home. I hope you find her we will be praying for her
The problem may be that since Bella bolted in an area that is not her home she may not know how to go "home".
Any updates???  I can't stop thinking about poor Bella.
I spent an hour looking for Bella this morning and I dropped off more MISSING DOG signs to post / hand out. I talked to one person (walking her dog) in the neighborhood who said she knew about the missing dog and was on the lookout. I talked to a construction worker down the street. Based on my experiences with my missing boy this time last year, I strongly feel like Bella is sticking close by. It would absolutely be worth it for ANY and ALL DKers within an hour or so of Port Chester to go look for her. It will take team work to find this dog. I suggest contacting Megan directly to find out what YOU (yes, you!) can do to help!
My brother lives over there, and I've notified him and ordered him to go out and look for her!

Patty,

I've known you to make a pretty effective " Lost Dog Poster"!    I know with you involved, she will get home!  Bless you

Please everyone help this girl.  She is too afraid to move.  I think she is close by also.

Get a hold of Patty.  Give her an HOUR!  That's all she is asking

Latest update from Meagan on Facebook, approximately 3 hours ago: "Bella was spotted 30 minutes ago in Greenwich at the intesections of Upland Morgan & Caroline. Greenwitch police and and animal control have been dispatched."

This spot is very, very close to where Bella bolted. I am just hoping the police / animal control don't chase her. I will try to get back this afternoon to look again. We need more feet on the street to find this girl!

Patty,

I can't be there with you but my heart is with you.  You go girl!

:) I miss you lady
Thank you Patty for taking the lead on this!...I heard from Meagan this morning she is feeling optimist and has renewed faith that she will be found.... She is eternally grateful for everyone's support and responses.....The outpouring of well-wishes and offers for help has been astounding.....Thank you all.....
