Last night, sleeping next to, head on the pillow, Porter let out two of the most mournful and deep howls I have ever heard.  Why would he do this??  He has never howled before.  He has moaned at harmonicas and people singing.  His friend howls with ambulances, but not recently in his presence as far as I know.

These howls were deep and beautiful and a bit disturbing...then he woke up and looked around like saying, huh?

Deaming - I love it when they do that actually :)

But one time Taquito my chihuahua did that, woke himself up and wet the bed he was so scared. Poor guy :)

Awww.. poor little Taquito!! That is the saddest and funniest story!! :( :)
Hahaha that is so funny though!
Poor Taquito...however, I am enjoying picturing his inner wolf :-)
One of Tara's trainers used to call chihuahua's "pocket wolves". Maybe there is something to it after all!!

that is sooo funny, probably less so when you are trying to sleep. I know that Rosie processes experiences in her dreams. when she was little she put her face into a very big filled full water bowl and realized quickly that she couldn't drink under water. water went up her nose and it was disturbing to watch this little baby fuzz twitch her nose to one side and breath funny for a few moments, of course it felt like eternity to me.

next day Rosie was sleeping behind me on the bed and I heard the exact same disturbing noises from the water incident, i look over and realize she is sleeping. she must have been processing what occured to her the day before. it was a trip. i woke her up and she looked confused.
