Standard poodle/doodle on Petfinder dropped off yesterday, to be euthanized 2/18

I saw this a few minutes ago and wondered if someone knew who to contact or if IDOG or DRC are already working to get him out?

My thoughts are with Moses tonight...as my sweet doodle lays next to me. It is appalling that this happens and happens often. I'm just sick... but the love and kindness of the DRC volunteer and the vet were the last feeling this sweet dog experienced.
My heart just breaks for this poor little angel, I cannot imagine anyone being so incredibly cruel but sadly this happens everyday not only to animals but to humans as well. There is a small measure of comfort in knowing that his last hours were spent with people who truly cared about him and that he at least knew love and kindness if only for a short time. Thank you so much to all of you for caring and for doing the best that anyone could for this beautiful dog. In a perfect world no animal or human would ever feel this kind of hurt and cruelty again. While no one of us can change it by ourselves we can continue to work together to make this world a better place for all. Moses I hope you are in a happier more loving place with no more pain or suffering.
Thank you DRC for all you do. I have no other words.... I am glad that at least at the end he was with caring people.....

Thanks to everyone who tried to help Moses.

More and more of us are becoming aware of these atrocities.  We are not successful every time.  But each 'failure' helps us grow and develop and perhaps one day all the Moseses will be saved.

OMG.  I am at work and wanted to see how things were progressing for this little guy.  I cannot be sitting at my desk crying. :(   I hope they are able to file charges against this horrible person.  In my next lifetime, I want to be an animal cop, I love/hate that show.  I love to see them nail the bad guys.  RIP Moses.
My husband is doing the training for a few police departments in Mahoning County and the Youngstown area and working as a reserve at one of their smaller police departments. I wonder if anything will ever be found out about the owner - he says he wants to be the arresting officer or booking officer at the jail if they are ever brought in. He says he has a special way to deal with animal abusers.
I like the way your DH thinks Denise.

Denise, if your husband hasn't already read the DRC discussion about Moses' condition, please ask him to read it, and tell him that even that was edited for the sake of decency. The true extent of Moses' injuries would turn even a strong man's stomach.

I would hope that your DH's methods of dealing with this creature (I cannot bring myself to call it a human being) would involve the same kind of treatment that was shown to this innocent and helpless dog.

Karen,  Does it seem likely that we will ever really know who did this to Moses?
If our executive director has anything to say about it, we're going to try. Justice for Moses.

I was still naively hoping he was a victim of a car accident, but that is sounding unlikely huh?

It confounds my mind that someone can be so brutal as to beat an animal, but so weak and squeamish inside as to not be able to face the damage he/she's done...and thus drops him off at a kill shelter.  What kinda culture fosters this sort of behavior?

I don't have words for people that abuse animals.  This story just makes me so sick.

Off to walk choodle and hug them both really really really tight.
