Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi,
I would like to adopt a golden doodle from Almond Blossom Doodles, since I've read such great reviews on this website, but they have not responded to my e-mails. My husband and I have sent 6 e-mails over the past two to three months from two different accounts.
Is there a better way to reach them? Is there a phone number where they can be reached?
My husband and I have gmail accounts and I'm afraid that maybe their webmail does not accept gmail messages.
It's very strange and frustrating.
Thank you ahead of time for your help!

Dear Eva,
I don't know why you would be having this trouble but both of my dogs have a sire from Tulip Tree Retrievers because the owner Ashley is the daughter of Shelly (from Almond Blossom). I know that Almond Blossom has two litters going out to families this weekend so they would be busy this week.
I hope this is helpful.
Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for your response. I contacted Almond Blossom using this e-mail address:
twosisters@almondblossompoodles.com
My first e-mail to them was on 12/30/2010 and they responded on 1/4/2011 with information about an upcoming litter with Lily/Casey. They said puppies from the Lily/Casey litter would be available in March and that a pregnancy check would be performed in January to make sure the pregnancy had taken hold.
I responded to this e-mail on 1/9/2011, but heard no response. Then I sent another e-mail on 1/11/2011 and another one on 1/14/2011.
My husband who was cc'd on the messages then sent a follow up message from his e-mail account on 1/18/2011 and I just sent another e-mail on 2/12/2011.
We discovered Almond Blossom a year ago and fell in love with the idea of having a pup from Lily/Casey. We contacted them on 4/4/10 and they were very responsive, but we eventually decided against it because we were living in an apartment and decided that we wanted to wait until we had a home with a yard before getting a dog - it just didn't seem fair to the dog to have him cooped up in an apartment. But we just had an offer accepted on a house and assuming all goes well, we should have the keys in hand on March 11. We are really hoping to get a curly-haired boy from the upcoming Lily/Casey litter. My husband has some allergies to dogs (runy nose and itchy eyes - hay fever), but he has been fine around all the curly-haired labradoodle and golden doodles we have run into.
I don't know if you are in e-mail or phone contact with the Shelly, but if you could please bring my attempts to contact her to her attention - I would very much appreciate this.
Here is a copy of most of my e-mail correspondence pasted below (most recent conversations first). I have removed some personal information including my phone number, but other than that, the conversations are verbatim. I included them because it might be helpful for you to send them to almond blossom, so that they can search their e-mail for these messages to determine whether they received them or whether the messages were somehow blocked by a spam trapper. I'm not sure why our e-mails would be trapped by a spam blocker, but I can't imagine why else this would happen.
Thank You Bonnie! We very much appreciate this.

Hi Shelly and Julie,
I e-mailed you twice this past week - so sorry for the multiple
e-mails, but I just want to make sure that we're on the wait list for
the Lily/Casey litter, please.
We want to get a puppy this Spring and if there aren't any more spots
in the Lily/Casey litter then we need to start looking around at other
options.
Thank You! We are so, so, so excited to finally get a puppy. We're
especially excited that it could be from Lilly/Casey!
Take Care,
Eva and Spencer

Hi Shelly and Julie,
I just wanted to check in and make sure my e-mail hadn't slipped by
you. We are very interested in the litter by Lily and Casey.
I just wanted to confirm that you added us to your wait-list. Is
there anything else that we need to do?
Has the litter been confirmed yet? When will the puppies be born?
When will they be ready do go home? We are very excited.
Thank You!
Eva
p.s. Please feel free to call me on my cell at XXX.XXX.XXXXX
Dear Eva,
I have no special "in" with the breeders from Almond Blossom. I just bought two of their pups over the years. I hope you are able to reach them. I find nothing quite as frustrating as trying hard to contact someone and not getting a response (insert son's name here! haha)
All I would do is continue to try.
Best of luck! bonnie
Hi Bonnie,
Thanks - I understand. I will keep trying. =)
Best,
Eva
Dear Eva,
If you go on the Almond Blossom group, you can see that a litter just went out on Saturday and apparently there is a male left. Just thought you might be interested.
Hope you have been able to reach Julie or Shelly.
Thank you Bonnie! Luckily we found a male puppy from PawPad Poodles. They came highly recommended and I like the fact that they uploaded videos of the puppies playing. It gave me extra confidence that the live in a friendly, social home. We got bright green boy - you can see videos of him here : http://www.youtube.com/user/thepawpaddoodles#p/u/6/PNSM87wnHFM
We are so excited! He comes home March 5/6! We already got him some toys, brushes, harness, leash, and food. We're sure to post pics soon! =)
Hi,
Did you ever find a better way to contact them than email? We are anxious to do our due diligence with Almond Blossom Doodles because their website and family references seem so good. We are interested in their medium english doodles. We would really like to move forward soon. Our home seems so empty since we had to put our Dockers down (he was almost 15). Help please.
Laurie
Hi Laurie,
they do all of their contact through email, so just keep trying and be patient. We didn't get their phone number until we were ready to pick out our puppy, as we had to have Shelly help us pick out the pup since she was going to be shipped to us. Good luck!
