[Tara and Dublin]

I see many photos of your Doodles out enjoying fun in the sun.  My question is about sunscreen?  Is there such a thing as sunscreen that is pet friendly for those early morning beach days?  We have not made a beach trip yet but it will happen.  Not sure Dublin will wear sunglasses or a hat......any thoughts to my overprotecting mothering ways would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, my daughter has the irish skin and my Dublin is light too.  Kids Stick, huh?

The consistency of the stick seems easier to apply and seems to stay on really well.  I use the Water Babies brand and it has always worked really well on my kids to.  I use the stick on their faces - and yes I use the same stick on Hunter! LOL

Sunscreen can be toxic to dogs so make sure to do the research on the kind you are using.

Yes thank you, there was an article posted earlier in this discussion that actually breaks down ingredients and what to look for....I found it very interesting.  I had no idea how toxic it could be to dogs.  Now I am wondering what I have put my poor kid through spraying her down constantly!!

I am surprised my kids don't glow green and have an extra head with the amount of suncreen I use on them! LOL

I never even thought of sunscreen for Rua!  Of course, we live in Omaha, Nebraska, so we don't get to the beach much!  Baby sunscreen will be added to Rua's bag!

Your question got me thinking.  I found this product that looks pretty good, and I'll be ordering it for this Summer.  We spend lots of time at the beach.  Thanks for bringing this up!

We use "My Dog Nose It" sunscreen on Jaxson's rose color nose when we go out in the sun! Seems to work great! It was being sold at a street fair last summer. You can also buy it online.
