We cannot agree on a name.  There are 4 opinions & we all have our own ideas.

I want Louie, Dexter, Leo or Murphy.

My husband wants Fozzie, Chewie or Wookie.

My 3 & 5 year olds want George or Murphy.

Other names we have discussed are Desmond, Charlie, Murray, Otto.

I ultimately have final say since I am going to be the main caretaker as a stay at home mom - but I want us all to be happy.

Help!  Please. :)

I also like unique names.... Like...... Argyle.....masculine strong side yet also soft and cuddly.

Thanks, all for the suggestions.

I tend to like the human names more - George, Wally, Louie, Ozzie...

My husband & I think very differently.  I just can't do Wookie or Chewie.  I just can't.

I like Murphy best.  He is so cute and just looks like a Murphy to me.  Good luck on your final decision.  Let us know.

Whoever said name him Louie Chewie had a great idea...that is cute!  Ridley also gets called Ridley Pidley occassionally :)

He's SO cute!  I think I like Leo or how 'bout Desi for Desmond?  Gives the "e" sound to the end like those your hubby and kids like???  Try calling the names aloud and see which flows off the tongue easiest for all.... OR  you can do it the 'scientific way' like WE did... we wrote our top 3 names each on a piece of paper - then called her to come toward the pieces of paper - whichever she went closest to - we marked on a tally sheet - the winner was the one with the most votes out of 7 trials!  LOL

Either way - he is gorgeous!

Our guy this week.  I *think* we have decided on Charlie as the name.  We're going to test it out for a few days & see how it goes, but it's likely his name.  Our previous pets were Linus & Lucy - so it's only fitting.

My sister had a Snoopy and Woodstock.   Then my sister-in-law had Peanuts.  Kind of goes with Linus and Lucy.   Woodstock--Woody for short.   There is a group on DK called, " What's in a Name" that has a lot of suggestions.
I just got back from church and have been "moved" (haha) to make this suggestion:  GRADY (the name of our music director!).  Also, our church has an assistant minister named "Chuck" which naturally led me to Chuckie or Charlie. Finally, there's our college minister named "George Jacobus" -- I know your kids like Ge orge already  (and makes me think of George Clooney who I love!) -- but Jake is also a great name!!  In case you can't tell, I have no idea what today's sermon was about!!

I just can't leave this discussion alone LOL!!  Here are a few more:  Grady led me to think of BRADY.  Brady makes me think of BODIE (the skier!), which for some reason makes me think of BEAU, which makes me think of the name of one of Dad's labs -- BOGIE (bo-gie!)  Ok, that's it, I promise!  (Maybe I just need to get my own puppy to name!!).

I love Wookie also.

He's really cute. Looks like an Ollie to me. I also love Oscar, like the grouch. Charlie is also a great name. If I ended up with a boy I was trying to decide between Ollie and Charlie. I got a girl in the end and I named her Sophie, but since I brought her home I call her munchkin a lot, or munchy for short, because that is what comes naturally :o)  Now she is responding to it, lol! I doubt it will fit though when she is 60 lbs...I wish she could stay a baby forever.

Good Luck, I'm sure the right name will come.

Have you considered GEORGIE.  George just seems too formal, but Georgie sounds more like a puppy to me.  I like Charlie also, but that is my DH's name.  He had a dog named Barney when he was a young single guy and everyone thought that Charlie was the dog and his name was Barney.  But Barney was also a good name for a dog.
