Flea and Tick Preventative

Well it's getting to be that time of year when we have to decide what we are using for flea and tick protection...last year we used Frontline + but after joining DoodleKisses I see a LOT of negative feedback about it.

Daisy never had a flea or a tick and we have Dear ticks around us and walk her through many a woods when the weather warms up.

What is everyone using and is anyone else thinking about switching to something new this year?

I'm still using Frontline Plus for Sasha...

She spends a lot of time in New Jersey and South Carolina...and it's still working well for her at this point.

I use Frontline Plus and have never had any problems with it. I love the fact if they don't have a flea problem you can apply this once every 2-3 months.

Where did you find out that you could apply Frontline less often if the dogs don't have fleas?

I use Comfortis.  The topical flea meds did not work on my doodles!  Before I knew it I had fleas in the carpet and had to take the doodles to the vet for assistance in getting rid of the fleas!  Comfortis has worked like a charm.  No more fleas for Capp & Joe!
