Oliver ate a Dryer Sheet!!!!

I was folding the laundry from the dryer and Oliver grabbed a used dryer sheet that fell from the dryer.  He ate it before I could get it from him.  Does anyone know if these things are dangerous???..He seems fine, sleeping right now, but this is his evening nap time.  Any info would be greatly appreciated...

That is a very good question. I don't know, but I just washed a down like coat and put a dryer sheet in with it and it came out all fluffy and new. Bonnie Hunt (an actress) had a talk show for awhile and she always recommended using tennis balls in the dryer as they are better for the environment than dryer sheets. I will try to find something that explains how it works.

I never heard of that????..But I am going to try that, we certainly have those around here.  Do u use them one time and then use new ones each time?

Cheryl, My main source of info. on this is Bonnie Hunt and her former talk show. My problem is I believe a lot of things on TV and especially if someone I like says it. It is probably why I own a Magic Bullet and various other things..LOL. I am no expert, but I do use tennis balls from time to time on down comforters and jackets. I always use one new one and everything comes out fluffy and no static.Here is a video to back me up that I did indeed hear this on TV.

I always use tennis balls when I wash our down comforter or my down coat.  It helps keep the down from lumping up in one particular areal.  But I didn't know they would soften as welll...

I use tennis balls for fluff with comforters, down coats, and pillows, but does it work for static cling????

I stopped using dryer sheets when I learned that the residue blocks up the filter.    If you remove your filter and clean off the lint and then run water on it you'll see that the water doesn't pass through.....even though it looks clean and clear the mesh is blocked.....almost like a waxy film.    It can be washed off with hot water and soap.  If you're going to use dryer sheets you should wash the filter periodically.
