Haircut?

My mom and dad (mostly my dad) are so against giving Huff a haircut that they won't even think about it. I don't know how to convince them but a post recently about Bella's first haircut. 

I love the haircut. I don't want Huff to be shaved or cut down a lot but since summer is coming and he has so much hair (about 8 inches worth!) I wanted him to have a little haircut so he can enjoy the summer but my mom and dad say it doesn't matter since he is inside most of the time. So, I have three questions, Is it better for their skin to have shorter hair? How do I convince my parents to let him get a haircut? And Will his hair look like Bella's if he got a haircut? Thanks so much for any help you can give me:)

People are likely very sick of me posting this, but the coat change for Gavin was so dramatic after his 2nd hair cut (at 13 months).  Here is the link http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/coat-comparison-8-mons-vs-...  I posted some updated pics at the end of the post and have not had Gav's hair cut since (but very soon).  It is parting down the middle too :)

Gavin doesn't have a big butt when he sits! I think it is just Huff. haha:) Anyways, I do see a big difference. I wonder if Huff's will be that different....

I find that I feel the same way about getting my dogs' coats cut the same way I do about getting my kids' hair cut - I delay and delay and delay because I like it long and the minute I get it cut I think they look so much less scruffy and I'm so happy.  I can finally see their faces (2 boys and 2 dogs)!  They look clean and cute.  And really, it's only hair - it'll grow back if you, your parents and Huff all hate it but it'll be fun to see what he looks like (you'll be surprised how much slimmer he will be!).

 

But wait - this is a dog who is inside most of the time???  What do you and he like to do together?

Most of the time?! haha:) Try all the time:) He won't even go in the grass if it is too wet. haha....Maybe you are right, maybe we should try going down to one inch. Believe it or not, I actually like to give him a bath. haha:) He doesn't like that much. I like to play with him (I am sure he likes that:)) I like to pet him with my foot. I love to feel the hair on my toes.:) I think he likes that too. I like to take him places with me. We get stopped a gazillion times but e loves it until he gets too hot in the store.:( I love to kiss him! I love doing mostly anything with him.....:)

Hate to say, but I tend to agree with your parents.  He looks like a dog now, and he will look like a doodle when he gets a haircut, not that anything is wrong with that, but it is much more common.  His coat is beautiful.
