Hey All,
Dude has started eating less, so I started feeding him 2x/day instead of 3 last week. Now for the last two days he hasn't been very hungry in the morning. Yesterday he just ate once. This morning he vomited bile a little....his energy level is normal. He still wants to play. Any advice?
Thanks,
Kristi

Hi Kristi
If his energy level is normal I would just keep an eye on him. He might have eaten something he shouldn't have and his tummy doesn't feel great. Is he pooping ok?
I feed Izzy 2x per day now and she is completely switched over to adult. She has also had less appetite the past few days. She hasn't been finishing her breakfast but eats all her dinner.
They aren't growing as quickly (than goodness:)) so won't be eating as much.
Mochi wasn't feeling well last week and also vomited bile a little, I took him to the vet right away. The vet asked me if Mochi ate something he shouldn't, and asked if Mochi has been pooping and drinking water normally, she wanted to make sure nothing got stuck in Mochi's tummy. Mochi also had diarrhea so the vet treated it as tummy inflammation and gave us some med.
I actually only gave the med to Mochi for one day (should be 7 days), but the next day Mochi was back to normall.
If Dude still eats (although less), drinks, poops, and acts normally, he should probably be fine. But if he vomit again or energy level drops, you should take him to the vet.
That's just my opinion :)

How is Dude doing?
Kristi,
Is Dude feeeling better? I bet he ate a snail or something that upset his tummy. Beckett is a chow hound. I feed him three times a day. He eats it in 20 seconds and is looking for more. I have caught him a couple of times with paws up on the kitchen island. He got a whiff of something so he started hanging around the kitchen. I'm now training him to stay on the edge of the kitchen but he doesn't like it much, since he likes to be in the mix. His hair is so goofy. It is coming in dark and wavy but he still has sort of a halo of light fuzz on the tips of his hair, on most of his body. His hair on his face and neck is the lighter color he had when I brought him home. My daughter thinks he's the most expensive, scrappy dog she's ever seen. We laugh about it. He is very sweet. He gets the zoomies once or twice a day but the rest of the time he's still pretty mellow. Ron and I were both sick last week and he seemed to know something was wrong. He stayed extra close by and slept when we slept. I just love him so much. Has anyone heard anything about Sketch?
Awwwww...thanks for checking up on the Dude. He seems to be okay.
Funny Karen.....Dude has that halo you speak of as well. My good friend has an F1B goldendoodle and her hair is very thick and curly. Dude's is straighter and thin.....I think I brush it all away. It will be interesting to see what happens. When are we all going to get these pups together?
I have not seen nor heard from the Sketch family.
Kristi
Haha...Izzy has the same halo. I hope it's the left over puppy hair. We don't want to cut any hair in fear that she won't have any left:) She has had her feet and head trimmed. The hair growing in on the back is thick, dark and wavy as well. Head is still soft and scrappy. Whoever said they can go through up to 10 coat chances...i hope the last one is good:-).
Izzy really is goofy and crazy and STILL a cuddler. Our 2 biggest issue are walking (she is horrible) and when someone comes in the door she gets so excited she doesn't jump on the people, she jumps all over poor Lucca and bites his legs and ears:) I'm thinking of starting to use a squirt bottle.
As to getting together...I am going to Buffalo for my father-in-laws funeral this weekend.
I am most likely coming south the first week of April to look at colleges with my daughter. Karen, I'll let you know if we get close to you. Maybe we can "pop" in for a quick visit. We're also going to Oregon to U of O.
Kristi... just let me know when you are available and we can meet.
Carla,
I would love it if you could stop by. We will be skiing from March 25 through April 1, but after that we'll definately be available. What schools in southern CA will your daughter be visiting? If there is anything I can do to be helpful, please let me know. If you get close enough, and you need someone to watch Izzy, I would be happy to do that. After all, it's family.
Beckett jumps on company when they arrive. The trainer at puppy school said to keep turning your back to him when he does it...but then he just jumps on your back! I trained him to "heel" when we walk together but I should have done it with his leash on because now when I use the leash he just tries to eat it. These dogs are so funny.
I love going to your website Carla, because I always get to know exactly how old Beckett is! I'm going to weigh him this week and try to get a picture for the site.
Have a great weekend.
Karen
Hi Kristi,
We now live in Temecula. It is about 1 1/4 hours northeast of San Diego and about 1 1/2 hours southeast of Los Angeles. It's called Temecula Wine Country. Nothing like Napa but we have about 35 wineries out this way. I was born and raised in San Diego. Ron and I lived in La Jolla for 35 years until we moved to Temecula last summer to be closer to our grandsons. It's nice and quiet here but still close to lots of restaurants and shopping. We'd love to have you come by if you're in the area. I'll take picture of Beckett this week and put on my site.
Have a great weekend.

Karen...unfortunately no dogs are coming. Just my daughter and myself:) But thanks for the offer. She's waiting to hear from SD University and CSU Fullerton and San Marcos. She was already accepted into Univ of Oregon and CSU Chico.
Kristi.... I am in San Mateo. Karen is near San Diego and I believe Candi is somewhere in Santa Rosa.
We all have to do a 6 month photo (next Thurs they'll be officially 6 months..can you believe it!!))!!!!! and I'll have my son do another collage for us.© 2025 Created by Adina P. Powered by
