Grayson can be out of his collar in seconds.  It's like he knows the exact angle to turn his head and we are standing there holding a limp collar.  We do have a harness for when we need him on a leash, but literally he has destroyed at least ten collars in the ten months we have had him!  I just wondered if it was a doodle thing, LOL.

hmmm. you mean when he is on leash or just wearing his collar around the house?  What kind of collar to you have?  Are you sure it's tight enough?
hmmm, that is perplexing.  We have the Lupine collars and leashes.  They are guaranteed that if they chew thru them they will get a free replacement.  I had a MI collar once that was made out of really slick nylon that no matter how tight Rosey would get out of it because of the texture I think.  You may want to make sure the material it's made out of is not stretchy or slick... if that makes sense... Good Luck!!
Clancy can slip a collar in seconds also. I always blamed it on the fact that he was a pound puppy and wanted to get away from the dog catcher....  LOL  We use a choke chain or martingale collar for walking him; he wears a rolled leather collar for his identification.
Both of mine have slipped their collars and it is extremely scary when you are somewhere that has automatic doors because they open for the dog when they run up to it.  We've taken to only using the easy walker harness so they can't slip out of it but I'd really like to find a collar they can't slip out of.  If you have any luck finding one please let me know!  I haven't tried the martingale but think that is my next step.
My dogs can slip a collar too.  For that reason I never leave the house with them on a flat collar.  We always use slip leads except when Murphy is working and then he's on his head collar.
I have the exact same problem*** Our doodles look alike too!  The collar that Ozzy has on in this picture is the one that you can exchange at any place that sells them and for any reason even if you just want to change colors **so this is the one Ozzy wears with his licence and name tag.  I have tried the easy walk harness, the gentle leader you name it we did it and Ozzy is the great escape artist. The only thing I feel safe with is the martingale collar when we go for a walk..Ozzy even got out of a pinch collar.  So good luck I will think of you when I take my next walk with MR 85 lbs of doodle fun

Chloe could do that as a puppy collar OR harness! We tried a no pull harness and we look down and she's BEHIND us! Now she's on a prong collar for walks but last summer that one came loose too on the busiest road around us, Chloe didn't even notice so I reached down and grabbed on to her regular collar and thank goodness she didn't run! It is a scarey thing.
