Bodie hasn't had much of an opportunity to go to the beach but if taking a bath is any indication--he should do just fine. He actually jumps up to the bath tub even when it's not time to take a bath!

Mochi doesn't go in for a swim unless we throw a stick in water, but he loves laying by water to just get his tummy wet.

Sophie will go in the water until she can't stand up anymore.  She loves diving her head underwater also!

We had a swimming pool in our last house - Toby wouldn't go anywhere near it! He's not a water baby.

I don't know about larger bodies of water, but Django loves the rain. For the last couple of days every time I take him out to do his business he wants to stay outside and frolic in the rain and puddles.

I took Echo for a swimming lesson 2 weeks ago. He is a big chicken. I thought we were gonna be there all day! But he was more interested in running around the pool harassing the other dogs. He swam but with a life vest. I wanted to take him this week but he isn't doing very well. He had surgery for an abscess on Friday and will be having more probably tomorrow. So no swimming for a long time for him.

ETA: Echo has really taken to swimming. Somewhere in between trip 3 and 4 he decided he was into playing in the water. I don't think we will be in a Dock Dogs competition anytime soon as he isn't motivated to jump off the side of the pool at all. But if you throw in the right toy he will swim out to get it and almost bring it back.

Ha ha!!! Great info. all.  Dude started with big muddy puddles and quickly has progressed to fetching a ball out of the water at Pt. Isabelle.  He puts his head under as well.  I think the water is one of his passions.
