Moving with Doodle to Charlotte, NC

Hi everyone -

We have had our house on the market in Atlanta for nine months. Thankfully, it has finally sold; however, the buyers want to close on April 8.  My husband (who transfered for his job) has been living in an apartment in Charlotte, NC during this time and coming back to Atlanta on the weekends. There is no way we can find a home in two weeks and we want to take our time to find the right one for us. So my DH and I, and our almost two-year-old goldendoodle Finley will be living in a two bedroom apartment for the time being.

My question for all the Charlotte area doodle owners is: does anyone have suggestions for a great veterinarian and groomer in the area.  We are looking to buy in the Ballantyne/Waxhaw/Weddington area of Charlotte so a vet in north Charlotte might not work for us. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate them.

By the way, Finley and I would love to get together with anyone looking for a play date. I do not work and would be available anytime plus it would be great to meet some new doodle friends who live in the Charlotte area.

I live about two hours from Charlotte, I have a few friends there as well. I would love to hook up and have a doodle play date. I don't have a good groomer. I do it myself for now.

Hey, I live in Concord with my almost 2 year old goldendoodle, Scotty. I lived in the Matthews area for a number of years and Dr. Christina Miles (Hearts and Hands Vet.) was my vet....both for Scotty and my sweet golden retriever, Andy. As for groomers, the one I used then is in Matthews....Bark 5th Avenue. The owner knows all about doodle hair and was really good. Don't know much about Waxhaw/Ballentyne area but can check with friends. Hope this is helpful. Things in Matthews may be a little far. Happy moving!
