Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I came home from work early yesterday with a really bad case of the flu. I was throwing up, chills, headache...the whole nine yards. As soon as I got home, Brinkley wanted to be by my side-- but he wasn't his normal hyper self. Instead, he followed me into the bedroom, calm as can be, and curled up next to me. My husband could hardly get him off the bed to go outside to use the bathroom. He whimpered each time he had to leave me. Instead, he stayed on the bed, with his big doodle head on my belly all day and all night. My husband took great care of me-- and I guess Brinkley wanted to take part making mommy feel better!
How in the world do they know? I'm so thankful for our Doodle and I couldn't imagine life without our Brinkley.

How are you feeling today Heather?
p.s. Two doodles and no fence is bit overwhelming sometimes. Especially when I want to play too.
Thanks for asking. Much better! I still have a bit of a sour stomach; however, the throwing up stopped less than 24 hours after it began. My husband works at the local hospital and he thinks I may have had food poisoning instead of the flu-- he said when it's the flu he just hasn't seen the major symptoms disappear as quickly as it did with me. Either way, I'm just glad I'm on the other side of it! Brinkley hasn't gotten AS much play time as normal since I was sick so we are on the way out the door to meet one of his friends for some romp time (it has been raining but I don't even care that I'll have a muddy boy in about an hour-- I just want to get some energy out! Here's hoping I'll have a tired doodle when I return so I can have time this afternoon to disinfect the house JUST in case it was the flu.
Thanks again for asking!
Gotta love the doods. I had the throwup virus once and Peri sat next to me in the bathroom. Just laid there. Gross...sorry for the visual.
Hope you are feeling better!!!
Same thing here, U can pretend cry and no matter what, Chloe comes running and puts her chin on you and stares at you.
She lays right across your chest too. I'm sure it made you fell a lot better though didn't it?? Same here, can't remember life without my doodles. Hope you feel better soon!!! Good job Brinkley!!
