I know it doesn't seem like it's April, well technically we have a few hours, but it's here. The plan this month, cococted by a very small group of us, is to do macro photography. Pictures very close up of flowers--really there will be more or some soon, doodle parts or anything really. Sometimes if it's really close up the object is unrecognizable and if you have such a shot you might want to make us guess what it is. Let's aim for fun again but technical wizardry of any kind always welcome, especially if you explain it. Also let's try to get more people involved with ideas of what to do in future months.

Would this be considered macro?

In case you can't tell, that last one is a dandelion:)

I know its not technically April yet but I couldn't wait.:)
The first one I would include but not the second. Although the dandelion is small it is photographed from a distance. The closer the better!
That is what I thought:)
Taylor...Macro is really really close up.  Where you can see an ant or tiny gnat on the flower or leaf!  But then some of us will be limited based on the lens.  Just shoot the closest and best in focus as you can.  It is fun.  I get on a macro flower kick from time to time.  When I get back home to San Diego I will have to pull out some of my DVDs of my flowers I have done in the past and post them...bugs and all!  Keep on shooting!
I like the reflection in Albus' eye.
EYE love these!!! :)

Eyemazing! Mike

I got inspired by Caitlin's nose picture....

Sorry to be a copycat Caitlin but this discussion could end up being a doodle nose and eye picture assignment instead of macro haha:)

Nice parts! I especially like the paw.
Thanks!:) Me too:)
I like those doodly eyelashes.
