Sharon, Can you contact them and tell them about the DRC?
I just contacted them...We are 1 1/2 hours away. I'll tell them about DRC if they still have her.
Thank you, Joan. I am in Indiana right now, so I could not go get her. I hate to see dogs posted on Craigslist.

I have been in contact with this family. They have a potential family for Biscuit that has a doodle and a poodle already. I told her if it didn't work out the DRC is just an email away. I just emailed that family for an update. If I hear from them I will update you all.

If anyone ever hears of a doodle in need of a new home, please email me!

YEAH!!!!
Good catch Joan! I hate seeing them on there also!
This should just be a ongoing thread, cause doodles are listed on Craigslist a lot!

yes they are! Sadly, most who post on CL are looking for their 'rehome' fee and the best life for their doodle comes in 2nd. I write to so many but few ever respond. But that doesn't stop me - if we can save some and make sure they get into a DOODLE home it is worth it.

If anyone wants info about helping a doodle in need, email me. I will answer all questions! You only have to open your heart and home, not your wallet. The DRC pays all expenses for a doodle in foster homes.

I have to admit that I have never looked on craigslist to see what pets people list.

It is shocking. I love the excuses. "moving, can't take dogs" is one of my favorites. I know there are always valid reasons to give up a pet and I hope to God I never am faced with that decision, but for the most part, I think 90% of those people never deserved a dog in the first place.  Sorry if that sounds harsh.

I know right?? I'm moving from florida to texas , I have 2 boys and we are moving to an apartment. It is going to be a little tight but our doodle is our family so he goes with us no matter what!!

My sister has moved 6 times with her chihuahua.  6 times. She almost moved to Japan to teach and paid $600 to have him vetted for international travel. Even though we would have kept him for her....gladly :)

Heck I've had 2 dogs in a small condo for the past few years. Make it work people :)

I would live in my car, the girls would still get their Evo and I would eat cheap hot dogs but they will never leave me!

How about this excuse - 'the puppy jumps up on my children and bites them", how about training the kids not to run and screech in front of an untrained puppy, that is while you have your puppy in puppy classes!! Seriously, do you think the gorgeous, well trained doodle you met comes like that???? Oy!
