No big discussion, I just wanted to brag :-)

Went to Lowe's today with both dogs.  My DH was shopping so I took both dogs and they behaved beautifully.  Charlotte is 9 months old and Webster is 2 years old.  They walked nicely, sat to greet their fans, and even shook hands.  They stretched their noses so the toddlers in the carts could pet them and they even spent a bit of time with a lady in a wheelchair.  The butt wagging was controlled, no jumping, and only a little back talking when Charlotte didn't want to sit :-)  They were a huge hit in the store and everyone was shocked that "such big dogs" and "so young" were so well behaved.  There was one woman who was so enthralled with them (in a very positive, responsible way) that she is going home to check petfinder for doodles in shelters or rescue groups.

Apparently it was an exhausting trip for the doodles as they are currently passed out on the dining room floor.  It wasn't long ago that a walk with both dogs resulted in my arm, shoulder, and back aching.  It appears that those days are over!

We have a local radio station that has "Love On Your Kids Friday".  How about today be "Brag on your Doodle Saturday".  Join in with any "brag" you want to share!

Yes, you sure sound like proud parents!  YEAH for such gooood DOODLES!  Please give them a special treat today for being so cooperative.  I think I will take our Doodles for walk in the park after reading your note.  You inspired me to be proud of my Doodles!

That is so wonderful!  I wish Little Miss tori would behave when we're out!  I would love to take her to places, but unfortunately she's too anxious.  Keep braggin you have every right!

:o)

Thanks for sharing.  I needed to hear that.  I have a problem with taking both of my boys out at the same time.  No matter what type of leash I use, they are in competition for attention from everyone.  If I have one of them, they are fine, but the other dog is at home crying the whole time we are gone.  I would LOVE to walk both of my dogs at the same time.  My shoulders usually ache after a walk and I think it is from the tug-of-war with the leash.
I know what you mean - I would ache for a couple days after a long walk.  I was beginning to wonder if I would ever have a peaceful, pain free walk!
That's awesome!  I did not know dogs were allowed at Lowe's?  We were there yesterday and my DH and I took turns going in to get what we wanted because we had Rocky with us!  Is it all stores??  What a great story!!  I love to take Rocky somewhere and see him get so much positive attention!

We had called our Home Depot and Lowes when Webster was a puppy and asked if we could bring him in.  Then for Webster's first Christmas we had him with us at Lowe's while we were picking out our tree.  The Lowe's outside employee told us that we were welcome to take him into the store, that they love having dogs visit, and not to worry because they'd clean up any accidents.  Many of the Home Depot and Lowe's employees now know Webster & Charlotte by name so they are local celebrities :-)

I don't know that it is all Lowe's but you could take Rocky in and act like you know what you're doing.  If they say anything, just say "So sorry, you had heard that Lowe's was pet friendly....."

aw, what a great story!!! I have moments like that with Lola once in a while, and it makes me feel GREAT!!
I used to take my dogs to Home Depot but I have been asked to leave the last few times I went : (
