Ate foxtails?

Yesterday, I took Huff up in the hill behind our shop. There were a bunch of foxtails up there. He got a bunch in his paws and I think I picked every one out. If not, I will see them when I give him a bath tomorrow. Anyways, while we were up there he also ate some foxtails. When I noticed, I made sure he didn't eat anymore. He was coughing like trying to get them out. When we got back into the shop and we were sitting around him picking foxtails out of his paws, he threw up and my sister saw some foxtails in it. I don't know if he got them all out but I hope he did. What would you do if your doodle ate foxtails? I know how deadly they can be if they just enter their skin. What do you think I should do? Should I not worry? He has been acting normal since he threw up.

haha:) That is a good idea. Huff sometimes squats but I think it would still be hard since it kind of shoots up instead of down (excuse me for being so unprudish haha:))

I think some people have used ladles to collect urine.

I actually did check all of the bottom half of his body. The foxtail plants weren't that high so I don't think I have to check the top part but I haven't felt any any yet.

Poor Huff!

Wheneve we have a situtation we always call a 24hour emergency center and they are very nice and helpful. usually we are over reacting but better safe than sorry!! Good luck

I did actually call Huff's vet and she said I should just check his mouth but I don't know if she really knew much because it was just the receptionist (I think) that answered the phone.
