Needed TOUGH puppy toy!

Miss Lucy is on a killng spree of ALL her stuffed animals EXCEPT Miss Kitty. (Her stuffed animal with the heartbeat and warmth that she got day 1) Any suggestions for me? She LOVES stuffed animals but kills them in minutes! Its just a waste of money.

Well she has already torn a hole in the stomach, ate one ear off and a triangle off the top of his head. sigh

I give up. Ha. I got her a new Kong toy.. Not even 5 min it was gone. Then I got her a nylabone ring toy and destroyed that. I guess we will have to stick with yack bones and antlers. I am gonna go broke if I keep this up

It does get better.  Groucho (at 5 years old) destroys nothing now, but he went through many toys, beds, and other chewables (shoes and glasses) when he was a youngster.  I can hardly remember him being destructive, but he definitely was.

Orbee makes almost indestructible balls! They can be chewed on without fear.

 

We love this unstuffed, plush toy. It takes a lot to open them up to get the squeakers out (there are 5 in each one). I have 3 adult doodles that play tug with them at the same time and they do not rip. They will eventually so I check them all time. If a squeaker can be gotten to, I just pull it out. I have several that are 2+ years old.

Ok I did not give up! I am now just buying things on clearance and watching her like a hawk. Her behavior got really naughty once we went plush free. She started stealing EVERYTHING and ANYTHING trying to get us to chase her. (which we dont) Thankfully she only destroys plush and nothing else. I found this Original Pogo Plus for $5.00. This is great bc I was already looking at it when it was $15.00.

She played with it for 20 plus minutes and has yet to destroy it. That does not sound long but for Lucy it IS! 

We will see how it last. If it does well, I will go get more. She was SO SO SO happy when I gave it to her. She got on her back and kept pawing it. Hopefully it will make the cut.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my Peri is over 2 and STILL destroys plush toys within minutes.  I have tried the "indestructable" toys, spent $15 on one in fact, and the bottom line is, none of them work if your doodle is like the shark in Jaws!  Really! 

We have no toys that are "soft" anymore.  Only zogoflex and antlers. It is sad, especially for my chihuahua.
