Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi again,
A while back I asked what type of doodle you all thought Murphy was...I think he is 18 inches high and 23-24 pounds. Well I finally got the DNA test and I am waiting on the results (2 more weeks), but what about a Carinoodle. What do you think? Are there many of them out there?
Thanks
Colleen

Hey, that's my little Pulidoodle you're talkin' about!! LOL!! Well, it least it led to a great adventure with Spud being corded!! So it wasn't a complete waste!!!
Seriously though I have "heard" that the DNA tests are more accurate in a first cross situation and less accurate with multigen crosses such as the ALDs. So hopefully no Great Danes will show up in little Murphy's test results!! :)
I almost want the Great Dane to show up in him.....just to make it kinda funny. I know they are not 100% accurate so I am going into this with that understanding.
I did an over the counter one. I asked my vet and he did not express a desire to do it, so I let it go. Now when I asked him to sex my bird (done with DNA) he did that....that is why I let it go....there had to be a reason he was not interested.
I can definitely see Murphy being that mix; as for being taller and heavier, a lot of our doodles are taller than either of their parent breeds, and maybe heavier than most, too.
Don't be disappointed about anything; in the end, regardless of what breeds he is, he's still Murphy, he's yours, and you love each other. What else matters?
Wow that is quite a combo!! All I know is that he is DARN cute!! :) And he DOES like kinda poodley!!
But remember my ALD came back with quite a bit of Puli in her DNA and her lineage is documented for generations with no Puli in sight anywhere. So who really knows???
