Molly found her bark

Help... Molly always had a little puppy bark until tonight.  Beautiful evening in the Pacific Northwest so I do believe that everyone in my neighborhood had their doors and windows open to let in the warmer temps, the fresh air and....the sound of our dog. Little Miss Molly Doodle found her big dog bark that ends with her baying at the top of her puppy lungs.  Do all doodles do this?  And how do you get a dog to quit barking when they are in that mode?  Maybe I don't have her trained as good as I thought I did. :(  I have had my share of puppies but none that barked quite like this.

Thanks Megan, I will try the noise to distract Molly.  I'm thinking that the more I tried to quiet her the more she got excited and kept baying, all that was missing was the full moon. LOL

Hi Megan, I live in a neighborhood where the houses are literally a stone's throw away from each other. I was beside myself when Toby found his glorious bark. Fortunately, I discovered a safe, humane, no-bark "spray" collar. (It's NOT one that shocks the dog - never, ever, ever use those! My friend's malfunctioned - it was awful.) When your dog barks, the vibration triggers the collar to release a small burst of Citronella spray into the air. It startles them, which makes them stop, plus dogs can't stand that smell, so it's a deterrent against barking again. It helped immensely! And a lot of my friends on Dk have had great luck with it, too. :)

Kooper responds just like that to his citronella bark collar!  Hilarious.. but it works. NOTE: Collar is not great for the beach.

I really will have to invest in one of those or else it will be a very long noisy summer.  What brand do you have? Kooper is really cute by the way.
