Hi Megan, I live in a neighborhood where the houses are literally a stone's throw away from each other. I was beside myself when Toby found his glorious bark. Fortunately, I discovered a safe, humane, no-bark "spray" collar. (It's NOT one that shocks the dog - never, ever, ever use those! My friend's malfunctioned - it was awful.) When your dog barks, the vibration triggers the collar to release a small burst of Citronella spray into the air. It startles them, which makes them stop, plus dogs can't stand that smell, so it's a deterrent against barking again. It helped immensely! And a lot of my friends on Dk have had great luck with it, too. :)
Here's a short video I made the first time I used the collar on Toby: http://youtu.be/7opnqR5Fmcg (I forgot how short his hair was back then! He was in the process of growing it out after being shaved.)
