Coat and Weight? - Help me make a decision on this little girl?

Hi all -

Hoping to get your advice.  So we found a mini goldendoodle F1 that we think we are adopting but wanted to get your thoughts on the coat.  I am looking for a coat that is silky and soft, more on a similar to the golden retriever and not as much of thicker poodle coat - based on the picture can anyone help me figure out which coat this little baby has?   

 

Also she is currently 7.5 weeks and already weights 8 pounds - wondering if you all think she is going to be much bigger than 35 pounds?

This is a cute coat!! I'll take her!! Sorry-I think it should matter if it's due to allergies but otherwise I would go with personality if you have a pick. My doodles have totally different coats and both shed fuzz a bit. Good luck!

This is a picture of my parents mini goldendoodle, Penny, and my chocolate goldendoodle, Webster, when they were both puppies (Webster was much older).  The picture of your pup reminded me of Penny.  Penny is now an adult and she has what I would consider silky, wavy hair but her hair is thick.  My mom keeps her back and sides short and leave her belly and legs feathery so she has that golden retriever look.  If her hair was long, it might be curlier. Your pup looks like her coat will be at least very wavy if not a loose curl. 

I am not an expert but I know several of the goldendoodles from Webster's litter and one of them ended up with silky, slightly wavy hair - she looks like a beautiful black golden retriever.  (She also sheds a lot).  Another pup ended up with thick, silky, slightly wavy hair - he looks like a "surfer dude" when his hair is long but his owners give him a "setter clip" and he looks like a black Irish Setter.  Both of these pups had short, straight, flat coats with just a little wave.  The pup in your picture looks has a lot more curl and looks just slightly wiry.  If I were to guess, I would say the pup in your picture will have very wavy hair but not the curly poodle look, I would guess a thicker rather than thinner coat.  My 2 dogs are both curly - one with thick, tight curls, the other with silky curls - so I'm experienced in the "poodle look".  BTW, I wanted the coat you are talking about and got the opposite.  I am now a curly coated doodle lover :-)

At 9 weeks, Peri was 7 lbs.  She is an F1 mini and 2 years old - weighs 25 pounds.  It is hard to tell.....
