Peeled baby carrots are great they are healthy, full of fibre. Sprocket started with baby carrots andstill loves them at 16 months.
You can melt cheese over the top of the food in the kong. The cheese melts through and makes it hard to get out. My dog does not like when it is too hard and stuff doesn't come out right away. To teach her to use the kong, I started with ice cubes because she could not figure it out!!
I heard some people use plain yogurt, then freeze it
I mix plain yougurt with a mashed banana, then I freeze it.

Crazy as it sounds my dog LOVES his own regular puppy food in the Kong. He jumps up in delight, wags

and runs around bopping it and eating his food. I do this a couple times a week, when I want him to

eat as its getting late in day. Otherwise, in the mornings especially, he does not eat for hours from his dog

bowl-but I switch it to the KONG and he goes crazy for it.

The food group has recipes in there too. You can use anything to fill it with. I freeze mine so it takes longer to get out.
